The January 31 2020 edition of SmackDown, out of the Bok Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, just wrapped up. We’ve got the match results, as well as our overall thoughts on the show, for you to check out below. Let us know what you thought about episode #1067 of SmackDown by tweeting us, @TheRumbleRamble.
The Bloodline Speak
The Bloodline came out to the ring to kick off the show and my big takeaway was that the commentary team actually called them The Bloodline for once. That’s a badass name and it needs to be used, to say the least.
Roman Reigns spoke first and quickly mentioned that he was upset that he didn’t win the Royal Rumble match. He was, however, very happy to get the chance to beat up Baron Corbin all over a baseball stadium, which got a nice pop.
Before The Usos could say too much, or Reigns could continue, Baron Corbin (along with Roode & Ziggler) showed up. Corbin said the only reason he lost the Rumble match was that The Bloodline assaulted him in a 3-on-1 beatdown (LOL).
After a bit of back-and-forth between everyone, a stipulation was added to tonight’s 6-man tag match: the losing team eats dog food.
Miz & Morrison vs. Heavy Machinery vs. Lucha House Party vs. The Revival
Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contendership Match
We kicked off the in-ring action for the night with a fatal 4-way tag team match. The winners would earn the right to face The New Day at a later date for the SmackDown Tag Team Championships, so stakes were actually high for this one.
This match was chaotic, and a bit sloppy at times, but still super fun. The interactions between John Morrison and Gran Metalik, in particular, were especially great.
Speaking of Morrison, he got the win for his team via pinfall following the Starship Pain. After only a few weeks since reuniting, Miz & Morrison are already one of the best parts of this show.
Winner: Miz & Morrison
Fire & Desire vs. Alex Bliss & Nikki Cross
Before the match got started, both teams brawled at ringside for a bit. And once we finally got the match going, I got a bit excited just because it was finally happening.
Seriously, WWE has teased this one for a few weeks, so it was cool to see it finally get in the ring and get a bit of time.
Alexa Bliss got the win for her team via Twisted Bliss. It was implied that, because of the win, CrissCross Applesauce would be in line for a Women’s Tag Team Championship match soon.
Winner: Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
Shinsuke Nakamura (c) (w/ Cesaro & Sami Zayn) vs. Braun Strowman
Intercontinental Championship Match
Even with Sami Zayn getting involved, Braun Strowman was just too much for Shinsuke Nakamura to overcome. Strowman got the win in what was a pretty uneventful match.
With that being said, Strowman’s emotions post-match were very real and very cool.
Winner: Braun Strowman
Shorty G vs. Sheamus
There wasn’t much to say about this, unfortunately.
Even after attacking Sheamus during his entrance, Shorty G didn’t have what it took to defeat Sheamus. He’s now 0-2, with this match being nowhere near as competitive (or as good) as their match from the Royal Rumble.

The Champ is Here
Up next, the SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley came out to the ring for a promo. She was super confident here, running down Lacey Evans and the entire SmackDown women’s division, claiming she had beaten everyone that there is to beat.
Well, not everyone. Naomi came out and confronted the champ, and of course, things got physical rather quickly.
Bayley threw a cheap shot, but Naomi recovered and stood tall to close out the segment. To say we’re excited about this feud would be a massive understatement…
The Bloodline vs. King Corbin, Robert Roode, & Dolph Ziggler
Everyone in the building, as well as everyone watching at home, knew the outcome of this one going in. With that being said, this 6-man was solid and the live crowd was on fire the entire time, which was fun.
The Bloodline got the win, as expected, and Corbin was chained up to the post and dog food was poured on him. A nice callback and hopefully the end of Corbin/Reigns for good.
Winner: The Bloodline
