The 08/28/18 edition of WWE SmackDown Live, out of the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada, just wrapped up. We’ve got the WWE SmackDown Live results, as well as our overall thoughts on the show, for you to check out below. Let us know what you thought about episode #993 of WWE SmackDown Live by tweeting us, @TheRumbleRamble.

The Five-Time Champions Club

The New Day danced their way to the ring equipped with a faux Stanley Cup to celebrate their fifth tag team championship win. In the middle of their party, another five-time champion, Booker T, made his entrance decked out with crown, cape, and scepter. Booker proceeded to knight each of the members of The New Day, officially inducting them into the Five-Time Champions Club.

The Bar vs. The Club vs. The Colóns

The New Day sat ringside for this match at their very own bright orange commentary table. Gallows and Anderson were fairly dominant throughout the bout, with The Bar and The Colòns having moments of offense now and then.

It was The Bar, however, who came through with a last-minute victory before destroying The New Day’s special table.

Winner: The Bar

It’s Rusev Day

Backstage, Paige approved Rusev Day’s request for tag action. Next week, Rusev and Aiden English will take on SAnitY and The Usos in a triple threat match with the winner facing The Bar at a later date to determine the new no. 1 contender for the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championship.

Hardy and Orton Are Going to Hell

Jeff Hardy came to the ring to address his violent feud Randy Orton, who came out to give his rebuttal. Hardy interrupted The Viper by demanding a match against him inside Hell in a Cell at the pay-per-view next month.

Is Mella Still Money?

Renee Young interviewed Carmella backstage regarding her upcoming rematch against Charlotte for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. Carmella was totally unconcerned, saying she would beat The Queen with no difficulty.

After she left, R-Truth wasn’t far behind, still on the hunt for the championship.

Billie Kay vs. Naomi

Billie Kay took her turn against Naomi with Peyton Royce at ringside to cheer her on. The IIconics have been in a bit of a Twitter feud with Naomi, so it only makes sense that the hostility would pour out into the ring. Once again using the numbers advantage, Billie Kay and her life partner defeated the glow queen.

Winner: Billie Kay

The Shadow and The Dragon Meet at Last

Daniel Bryan and Brie Bella came to the ring to discuss the events of last week. They went over everything that happened with The Miz and Maryse leading up to Brie punching Miz in the face. Bryan was in the middle of telling everyone how hot his wife was when Andrade “Cien” Almas and Zelina Vega made their entrance.

Zelina introduced herself and Andrade to the happy couple, listing their accolades and finishing by challenging Bryan to a match (against Andrade, not herself). Almas agreed by cutting a promo in Spanish.

Bryan said that although he couldn’t set the match himself, he welcomed a manager to come from the back to set it for them. It took a minute, but Paige eventually came out and set the match between Bryan and Almas to take place immediately.

Daniel Bryan vs. Andrade “Cien” Almas

Zelina Vega was positive that her client could out-wrestle Bryan and put that to the test with this match. Bryan quickly got to work disproving this theory by cutting Almas off at every turn. Mid-match, The Miz came down to check things out, more than likely in an attempt to throw Bryan off his game. Almas got all of his big moves in (finally), garnering a “this is awesome” chant from the audience, but Bryan grabbed Almas in a Yes Lock. Zelina tried to interfere but was pulled from the apron by Brie Bella.

At this point things devolved into chaos, as Miz and Maryse inserted themselves in the action, causing a disqualification. Andrade got a few more shots in before leaving Bryan and Brie to the wolves. Miz and Maryse left Brie and Bryan lying in the middle of the ring and celebrated their dirty deeds with a kiss.

Winner: Daniel Bryan (via disqualification)

Charlotte Flair Interview

Charlotte Flair gave a fiery interview with Renee Young backstage. She called out Becky Lynch, saying that it was her fault their friendship ended and Flair would never apologize for being successful. Becky was going to get exactly what she had coming to her after Charlotte was done with Carmella.

AJ Styles Addresses Samoa Joe

The Phenomenal One came to the ring and said that with all Joe’s mind games, he wasn’t man enough to take the WWE Championship. He demanded that The Destroyer come to the ring so that he could knock his teeth out.

Instead, Joe opted to call Styles’ wife backstage, a safe distance from the champ. Bringing his family into it again was too much for Styles, who took off towards the backstage area at a run, on the hunt for Samoa Joe. He ran all the way to the loading area, but Joe was already gone.

SmackDown Live Women’s Championship Match

Charlotte and Carmella battled for the Women’s Championship with an audible “we want Becky” chant in the background. Safe to say, even with her best efforts, Becky Lynch has been unable to turn the fans against her.

Carmella actually had the upper hand at several points during the bout but was unable to keep the new champion down. Finally, Charlotte hit a Natural Selection followed by a Figure Eight and tapped out Carmella, retaining her championship.

Before Charlotte could leave with her title, Becky Lynch appeared and beat her down. She screamed for a microphone and said that after Hell in a Cell, she would be the new SmackDown Live Women’s Champion.

Winner: Charlotte Flair
