SmackDown Live Results

The September 17 2019 episode of WWE SmackDown Live is taking place later this evening.

The following “quick hits” are advertised to be included in tonight’s show:

1. Six-Man Tag Match: The Revival & Randy Orton vs. The New Day

Although Kofi Kingston came out on top of the WWE Championship match against Randy Orton, Big E and Xavier Woods weren’t quite as successful in their match, losing the SmackDown Live Tag Team Championships to The Viper’s newest sidekicks, The Revival, meaning the feud between the two trios will roll on.

And tonight on SmackDown Live will be the beginning of the next chapter of their rivalry, as Randy Orton will team up with Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder to take on The New Day in six-man tag team action.

2. The Coronation of King Corbin

Last night on Raw, Baron Corbin and Chad Gable left it all in the ring after a hard-fought match to determine which of them would become King of the Ring. Chad Gable gave Baron Corbin the fight of his life, but Corbin was ultimately the one to lay claim to the crown.

But every king needs an extravagant coronation ceremony, so tonight on SmackDown Live, Baron Corbin will receive just that.

3. Exclusive Interview with Erick Rowan

In the final moments of his match against Roman Reigns at Clash of Champions, Erick Rowan’s old friend and tag team partner, Luke Harper, appeared from the shadows to help Rowan bring down The Big Dog.

To give clarity regarding this event, as well as his plans for the future of the heated rivalry between himself and Roman Reigns, Erick Rowan will give an interview tonight on SmackDown Live.

4. Shane McMahon Speaks About Firing Kevin Owens

Last week on SmackDown Live, Shane McMahon offered to lift the $100,000 fine he put against Kevin Owens for “attacking a referee (Elias)” if Kevin Owens called his match against Chad Gable the right way.

Despite Kevin Owens’ best efforts, Chad Gable defeated Shane McMahon by tapping him out via ankle lock, and in his anger, Shane McMahon fired Kevin Owens on the spot.

Being fired was never part of the deal, so Shane McMahon will give his reasoning for making this harsh decision tonight.

5. Charlotte Flair Plots Revenge Against Bayley

Looking at how the match between Charlotte Flair and Bayley at Clash of Champions unfolded, it’s clear to see that the old Bayley probably would have lost the SmackDown Live Women’s Championship to The Queen. But not the new Bayley.

No, the new Bayley knows that when the moment calls for whatever means necessary, you do what you have to do to get what you want. Which, in this case, meant untying the turnbuckle pad and smashing Charlotte’s face into the exposed metal to retain her title.

Bayley quite literally ran off before Charlotte Flair could do anything about the unjust loss, but Charlotte has had a couple of days to plan her next move and will undoubtedly (at the very least) have something to say to the Huggable One.
