The 04/09/18 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw just wrapped up. We’ve got the match results and our overall thoughts on the show for you to check out below. Let us know what you thought about episode #1298 of WWE Raw by tweeting us, @TheRumbleRamble.

Ronda Gets Rowdy

The opening segment of the evening featured a wonderful promo by Stephanie McMahon in which she claimed that everything she did to Ronda Rousey pre-WrestleMania was just to get the best out of her at WrestleMania.

Ronda obviously had something to say about this, but instead of using her words, she laid Stephanie out once again with a brutal armbar.

Nia Jax and Ember Moon vs. Alexa Bliss and Mickie James

This segment was designed specifically to get Ember Moon on television, and it worked beautifully, as the crowd went bananas when her music played. She’s going to be a big deal moving forward.

Speaking of Ember, she got the win for her team when she pinned Alexa Bliss via the Eclipse.

Winner: Nia Jax and Ember Moon

Braun and Nicholas Drop the Titles

Backstage, Braun Strowman and Nicholas were forced to drop the Raw Tag Team Championships due to the fact that Nicholas had a scheduling conflict (he’s still in the 4th grade).

Braun did say that Nicholas would be coming back to get those titles as soon as he finished school, which got a nice laugh from everyone.

No Way Joes Rolls Into Town

No Way Jose made his Raw debut, defeating John Skyler with the Fastball Punch in less than a minute.

Winner: No Way Jose

Kurt Addresses the Raw Tag Title Situation

Kurt Angle announced a tournament for the vacant Raw Tag Team Championship. The winners of said tournament will face The Bar in Saudi Arabia at the “Greatest Royal Rumble” event.

The Club vs. The Revival

Raw Tag Team Eliminator Match

The first matchup of the Raw Tag Team Eliminator (tournament is a bad word in WWE right now) featured The Revival besting The Club in a fast-paced but fun tag team bout. The Club really need a change of scenery, Raw hasn’t been treating them well as of late.

Winner: The Revival

Jeff Hardy Returns

Jeff Hardy returned during an in-ring segment designed to set up our main event of the evening, a six-man tag team match featuring Finn Bálor, Jeff Hardy, and Seth Rollins taking on The Miz and The Miztourage. The pop for Hardy’s return was massive, he’s going to be a major player for the rest of 2018 and beyond.

Sasha Banks vs. Mandy Rose

Mandy Rose got a victory over Sasha Banks, who was distracted by Bayley right before the finish.

After the match, in the same building in which she made her WWE debut four years ago, Paige announced her retirement from WWE. A very sad day for WWE fans and talent alike, this moment brought many to tears. We hope that Paige can find peace post-WWE, because she’s extremely talented and deserves the best, especially considering all that she’s been through.

Winner: Mandy Rose

Bobby Lashley Roughs Up Elias

Bobby Lashley made his WWE return, murdering Elias in the process. Bobby looks like a monster, and he’s improved tremendously since he left over 10 years ago.

TNA Is Hiring?

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn tried to get Kurt Angle to hire them backstage, which led to quite a few laughs. At one point, Kurt told them both that TNA was hiring, which got one of the loudest pops of the night.

Kurt eventually set up a match between the two for later in the evening in which the winner would get a spot on the Raw roster.

The Authors of Pain vs. Heath Slater and Rhyno

The Authors of Pain made their Raw debut, defeating Heath Slater in Rhyno in quick fashion.

After the match, Akam and Rezar appeared to dismiss Paul Ellering of his managerial duties, which was a sad moment for us, as we really love Paul. Hopefully this was Paul’s choice, because he’s been great in his role with AoP.

Winner: The Authors of Pain

Samoa Joe made his return by running down Roman Reigns on the microphone, who had been in the ring discussing his match with Brock Lesnar from WrestleMania. Joe said that after Roman loses to Brock again at the Greatest Royal Rumble event, he’d be waiting in the shadows to put him to sleep at Backlash.

Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt vs. Titus Worldwide

Raw Tag Team Eliminator Match

Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt advanced in the Raw Tag Team Eliminator. We were hoping the two would eventually join forces as a team, and things are going well so far now that they have. This is the perfect role for them at the current time.

Winner: Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt

Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn

Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn had another fantastic match, which ended when both men failed to answer the ten count after a big move from Owens off the top rope. As a result, neither men were hired by Raw.

Let’s Get Weird!

Brother Nero, Woken Matt, and Woken Bray had a very strange interaction backstage, which led to Finn and Seth looking on in confusion. This segment was well-done and hilarious.

Finn Bálor, Jeff Hardy, and Seth Rollins vs. The Miz and The Miztourage

Finn, Seth, and Jeff got the win over The Miz and The Miztourage in the main event of the evening. Fans were sent home happy when all three men took turns hitting their finishers on the bad guys.

Winner: Finn Bálor, Jeff Hardy, and Seth Rollins
