WWE Raw Preview: September 9 2019

WWE RAW

The September 9 2019 episode of WWE Raw is taking place later this evening.

The following “quick hits” are advertised to be included in tonight’s show:

1. Universal Championship Contract Signing Take 2

After last week‘s Universal Championship contract signing went awry thanks to AJ Styles and rest of The OC, Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman will be giving it another try tonight on Raw, this time with Stone Cold Steve Austin overseeing the event.

Braun Strowman, the challenger for the Universal Championship at Clash of Champions this weekend, wasn’t exactly a fan of this decision, as Steve Austin has recently given Rollins the nod of approval.

Rollins insisted that there wasn’t anything untoward going on, but Strowman assured him that if he or Steve try anything, he wasn’t afraid to give them both those hands.

2. Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin vs. Ricochet: King of the Ring Semi-Finals

The King of the Ring tournament is coming to a close, and tonight on Raw, the first of two semi-finals matches will take place. As the match between Samoa Joe and Ricochet ended with both competitors’ shoulders on the mat, WWE officials decided to put them both through to the next round, setting up this triple threat.

3. Four Horsewomen Face-Off

Tensions have been building between the four horsewomen – or rather, Sasha Banks has recruited Bayley in her quest to get back at Charlotte and Becky Lynch for reaching heights she has yet to climb.

So tonight, Charlotte and Becky Lynch will team up to take on The Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection in tag team action, hoping to bring their former friends down a notch – or twelve – ahead of their respective championship matches at Clash of Champions.

4. Rey Mysterio Takes On Gran Metalik

After being brought back from the brink of retirement by his son following an embarrassing loss to Andrade in a 2-out-of-3 falls match, Rey Mysterio will be looking to reinvigorate himself by locking horns with fellow luchador and Lucha House Party member, Gran Metalik.

5. Cedric Alexander Challenges AJ Styles

The Universal Championship Contract Signing wasn’t the only thing AJ Styles and his crew ruined last week. They also ambushed Cedric Alexander during an interview regarding his match against Baron Corbin in the King of the Ring Tournament.

In an effort to get back at Styles, and therefore the entire OC, for their cruel actions, Cedric Alexander will step into the ring across from the Phenomenal One tonight on Raw.

But with Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson undoubtedly watching close by, Cedric Alexander has more than a bit of a challenge ahead of him.
