The September 23 2019 episode of WWE Raw is taking place later this evening.
The following “quick hits” are advertised to be included in tonight’s show:
1. Fatal 5-Way No. 1 Contendership Match
Next week’s episode of Raw marks the start of a new season, and WWE will be pulling out all of the stops for the occasion by putting a Universal Championship match on TV.
As there are several men qualified for this match, there will be a Fatal 5-Way between Robert Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura, AJ Styles, Ricochet, and Rey Mysterio to determine which of them will be the one to face Seth Rollins.
2. New Episode of Firefly Fun House
Ahead of his match against Seth Rollins at Hell in a Cell, Bray Wyatt will premiere a new episode of Firefly Fun House on Raw. Will he simply send a message to all of his fireflies, or will he be looking to add a new “friend” to his growing list?
3. Nikki Cross Seeks Revenge on Sasha Banks
The Women’s Tag Team Champions, Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss, were none too pleased about the defeat they suffered at the hands of the Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection last week, especially since they only lost because Bayley and Sasha Banks injured Alexa Bliss to the point that she was forced to sit out the second half of the match, making it a 2-on-1 attack on Nikki Cross.
In an effort to get revenge on Boss ‘n’ Hug, Nikki Cross has challenged Sasha Banks to a match tonight, eager to show her tag partner that she will gladly take out anyone who crosses her.
4. King of the Ring Finals Rematch: Chad Gable vs. Baron Corbin
Though Baron Corbin defeated Chad Gable fair and square in the finals of the King of the Ring Tournament, they will be facing off once again tonight on Raw, as King Corbin continued to insult Gable during his coronation last week on SmackDown Live.
Chad Gable viciously attacked Corbin in the midst of the barrage of short jokes, tackling Corbin through his own throne before shattering his crown and scepter. Because of this, Corbin will be stepping into the ring tonight with the hopes of restoring his kingly image.
