The 03/20/19 edition of WWE NXT UK, out of the SkyDome Arena in Coventry, England, just wrapped up. We’ve got the match results, as well as our overall thoughts on the show, for you to check out below. Let us know what you thought about episode #35 of NXT UK by tweeting us, @TheRumbleRamble.

Johnny Saint’s Announcement

General Manager Johnny Saint announced, in the ring, that Pete Dunne would be defending his UK Championship at TakeOver: New York. Before Saint could announce his opponent, Pete Dunne decided to join the party in the ring.

Dunne said “Give me Walter” and then left the ring as the crowd cheered at the idea of the match. At the end of the show, Saint confirmed the match as Pete Dunne vs. WALTER, so it’s indeed official.

Eddie Dennis vs. Ligero

Early on in the match, Ligero went after Eddie Dennis’ legs and also hit a neat springboard stunner, which earned him a two count. Dennis quickly turned things around, however, and really controlled the pace for the majority of the match.

Dennis hit a delayed suplex from the top rope, then a buckle bomb, followed by the Next Stop Driver to score the pinfall victory.

Winner: Eddie Dennis

The Hunt (Wild Boar and Primate) vs. Lewis Howley and Sam Stoker

This was a showcase squash match for The Hunt. They got the win rather quickly without much of a fight from Howley and Stoker.

Winner: The Hunt

Kassius Ohno vs. Ashton Smith

Kassius Ohno got a big reaction from the Coventry crowd. Speaking of big, Ohno and Ashton Smith both threw some impressive strikes during this bout, which is always fun to watch.

Smith landed a Samoan Drop, but only got a two count out of it. After a bit more back-and-forth, Ohno hit the Ripcord Elbow to the back of Smith’s head to get the W.

The two embraced post-match, but Ohno ended up hitting him with another elbow when Smith (who appeared to still be groggy) didn’t shake Ohno’s hand.

Travis Banks came out to prevent any more damage. A future feud or match between Banks and Ohno was teased, which sounds awesome.

Winner: Kassius Ohno

Tyler Bate vs. James Drake

James Drake through Tyler Bate into the ringside barricade early on in this match to take control of things.

The crowd was very much behind Bate. Also, there were tons of chants about Drake’s ring gear, which consists of a pair of trunks with his face on the back. “He’s got an ass on his face” and “assface” were the two big ones, both of which got a laugh out of us.

Bate hit an exploder suplex and standing shooting star press back-to-back, but only got a near fall out of it. He then through Drake into the ringside barricade hard, which was a nice callback to the beginning of the mathc.

Bate landed a beautiful Somersault Senton to get the win in what was a really good match.

Winner: Tyler Bate
