The 06/05/19 edition of WWE NXT UK, out of the Braehead Arena in Glasgow, Scotland, just wrapped up. We’ve got the match results, as well as our overall thoughts on the show, for you to check out below. Let us know what you thought about episode #46 of NXT UK by tweeting us, @TheRumbleRamble.

The Hunt vs. Tyson T-Bone & Saxon Huxley

Both Tyson T-Bone and Saxton Huxley took turns beating up Wild Boar early on in the match. This was about the only offense the two got in the match, however, as once Primate got the tag it was pretty much over from there.

Wild Boar and Primate landed a pop-up German Suplex combo, as well as stereo diving headbutts from the top rope to get the win.

Winner: The Hunt

Kasey Owens vs. Kay Lee Ray

These two really went at it for the brief time that they were in the ring together. This was a very strike-heavy match, which always works well, and is our favorite kind of wrestling.

Kay Lee Ray landed a few big kicks, and then the Widow’s Peak, to score the pinfall victory. She’s gotta be getting close to earning an NXT UK Women’s Championship match soon…

Winner: Kay Lee Ray

Travis Banks vs. Joe Coffey vs. Jordan Devlin vs. Dave Mastiff

Fatal 4-Way No. 1 Contendership Match

Our main event of the evening was the fatal 4-way no. 1 contendership match between Travis Banks, Joe Coffey, Jordan Devlin, and Dave Mastiff.

Banks and Devlin went at it the moment the bell rang, and the two big guys did the same, which got the crowd into it instantly. Eventually, all four guys took each other out on the floor at ringside, which was a fun way to get this one started.

Banks and Devlin then teamed up to temporarily eliminate the big hosses, so they could duke it out in the ring one-on-one, which was a good plan. After that, Banks dropped Devlin with a snap German, but Mastiff returned the favor, and then took out everyone else with Germans, too.

Coffey got back into the fight and started swinging folks by their ankles while the crowd hummed the melody to Black Sabbath’s “Iron Man,” which was an awesome moment.

Devlin planted Banks with the Uranage/standing moonsault combo, but Banks kicked out of the pinfall attempt. Devlin got really hot at this point, and took out everyone in the match and stood tall for a second while the crowd booed.

Unfortunately for him, the two big guys were up first, and they teamed up to dispose of Jordan via an uppercut party.

The finish of the match was awesome, and went a little something like this:

  • Devlin hit a running Spanish Fly on Banks, but Mastiff broke up the pinfall attempt.
  • Then Coffey came in and took out Mastiff, sending both men crashing hard to the floor outside of the ring.
  • This left Banks and Devlin in the ring alone, and Banks took advantage of it, hitting the Slice of Heaven/Kiwi Crusher back-to-back to get the win.

The show ended as Banks celebrated in the ring. Remember, Banks is now the NEW no. 1 contender for WALTER’s WWE UK Championship.

Winner: Travis Banks
