The July 31 2019 edition of WWE NXT UK, from the Plymouth Pavillions in Plymouth, Devon, England, just wrapped up. We’ve got the match results, as well as our overall thoughts on the show, for you to check out below. Let us know what you thought about episode #54 of NXT UK by tweeting us, @TheRumbleRamble.

NXT UK TakeOver: Cardiff

NXT UK General Manager Johnny Saint and his assistant, Sid Scala, opened up the show. The two formally announced TakeOver: Cardiff, which will happen on August 31.

Imperium quickly interrupted the duo and was quite rude about it, to say the least. WALTER and his crew demanded that Saint and Scala leave their sacred ring, but before they left, WALTER wanted to know who he would be facing at TakeOver: Cardiff.

Tyler Bate then showed up, attacked WALTER from behind, and even took out all the other members of Imperium… in flip flops! Scala then announced that it would be WALTER vs. Bate for the title next month in Cardiff.

Gallus (Wolfgang & Mark Coffey) vs. Pretty Deadly

Squash match… Gallus got the win in dominating fashion.

After the match, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang called out current NXT UK Tag Team Champions Grizzled Young Veterans. They want a shot at the tag titles, and it’s safe to assume that match will happen at TakeOver: Cardiff.

Winner: Gallus

Dani Luna vs. Rhea Ripley

Another squash…in fact, this one was more dominating than the first.

Ripley looked great here, though, and I’m excited to see what the future holds for her going forward. She’s got everything you need to be a major star on Raw or SmackDown one day.

Winner: Rhea Ripley

Jordan Devlin vs. Alexander Wolfe

Alexander Wolfe, in new black trunks, really went after Jordan Devlin pretty good here. Devlin’s ribs were targeted specifically, which was a fun change of pace, considering everyone goes after arms and legs nowadays.

Devlin landed a headbutt outta nowhere to turn the tide and followed that up with some vicious-looking stomps to Wolfe’s head. Devlin then planted Wolfe hard with a Spanish Fly, but it wasn’t enough to get the win.

Wolfe, after surviving everything Devlin had thrown at him, hit a sit-out powerbomb to get the win.

Winner: Alexander Wolfe
