NXT UK

The 07/03/19 edition of WWE NXT UK, from the Download Festival in Donington Park, Leicestershire, England, just wrapped up. We’ve got the match results, as well as our overall thoughts on the show, for you to check out below. Let us know what you thought about episode #50 of NXT UK by tweeting us, @TheRumbleRamble.

Piper Niven vs. Rhea Ripley

This match was supposedly scheduled to take place later in the show, but Rhea Ripley had other plans. She stormed out to the ring as soon as the show started and demanded that it happen right then, and Niven happily obliged.

Rhea’s eagerness probably ended up costing her the match, to be honest. She got dumped to the floor by Niven as soon as the match began, but she did manage to regain some control while at ringside.

The two eventually made their way back to the ring, where Niven got the win after a bit more back-and-forth. Hopefully, these two are far from done with one another because they had good chemistry together and we’ve enjoyed their program so far.

Winner: Piper Niven

Jack Starz vs. Alexander Wolfe

Squash match. Wolfe got the win over Starz without much of a fight, although Starz did get a flurry of offense in at some points.

Winner: Alexander Wolfe

Jazzy Gabert (w/ Jinny) vs. ??? and ???

2-on-1 Handicap Match

Another squash match, although this time it was 2-on-1, with Jazzy Gabert being the one. Jinny controlled things from ringside, but we’re not sure she needed to, because Jazzy was pretty dominant here.

Speaking of dominant, Jazzy won with The Dominator, which is a badass finisher that suits her perfectly.

Winner: Jazzy Gabert

Grizzled Young Veterans (c) vs. Moustache Mountain

NXT UK Tag Team Championship Match

Moustache Mountain came out of the gates guns blazing, with tons of tag team offense to slow down Drake and Gibson. Once again, Seven got caught on the wrong side of the ring for far too long, but Bate did eventually get the hot tag to keep things going.

Speaking of Bate, he really shined here. He didn’t do anything that he hadn’t done before, but he did play all of his hits and played them quite well.

Right when it looked like Moustache Mountain was going to get the win, Imperium ran out and attacked both teams. They focused in on Bate and Seven and handcuffed Seven to the ring in the corner.

They forced Seven to watch WALTER powerbomb Bate over and over again onto the ring apron, and even into the ring post, which couldn’t have felt good.

The show went off the air with Imperium standing tall, once again.

Winner: No Contest
