The July 24 2019 edition of WWE NXT UK, out of the Download Festival in Donington Park, Leicestershire, England, just wrapped up. We’ve got the match results, as well as our overall thoughts on the show, for you to check out below. Let us know what you thought about episode #53 of NXT UK by tweeting us, @TheRumbleRamble.
Noam Dar vs. Kenny Williams
Both Noam Dar and Kenny Williams came into this match with all intentions of having a standard wrestling match with one another… until Dar slapped Williams in the face and made things personal.
After the slap, Williams fired up and eventually landed a big dive to the floor, wiping out Dar in the process. Williams actually controlled this one for the majority of the match, which was kind of surprising, to us at least.
Dar got a kneebar out of nowhere, but Williams escaped, losing his shoe in the process. Dar tried to hit Williams with the shoe, but the ref stopped him.
While the ref was disposing of the shoe, Dar kicked Williams below the belt, and then hit the Nova Roller, to get the win.
Winner: Noam Dar
Jazzy Gabert, Jinny, & Kay Lee Ray vs. Xia Brookside, Piper Niven & Toni Storm
This one had tons of tagging in and out, with everyone mixing it up with one another. Seeing Piper Niven and Jazzy Gabert square off again was especially fun.
Things got ugly for the good guys when Xia Brookside ended up on the wrong side of the ring for a good portion of the match. Eventually, NXT UK Women’s Champion Toni Storm got the hot tag and turned things around for her team.
When Brookside tagged back into the match, Gabert clipped her from behind, allowing for Jinny to hit a facebuster and get the win.
Winner: Jazzy Gabert, Jinny, & Kay Lee Ray
Trent Seven vs. WALTER
Trent Seven attacked WALTER during his entrance, allowing him to gain the upper hand early on. Once the match officially started, Seven picked up right where he left off, bringing the fight to WALTER for the entirety of the bout.
WALTER obviously fought back, and quite brutally, but Seven just wouldn’t go away. WALTER eventually powerbombed Seven ON the ring apron, and then landed FIVE more powerbombs in the ring, which led to the ref stopping the match.
WALTER, with the rest of Imperium, posed to close out the show.
