The Bruiserweight Speaks
WWE United Kingdom Champion Pete Dunne came out for an in-ring promo to start the show. Joe Coffey (with Gallus) quickly joined him. Coffey made his intentions clear: he’s not finished with Dunne or the UK Championship just yet.
Coffey said that anyone who wanted a shot at Dunne and the title needed to get in line behind him. WALTER’s music hit and the crowd went crazy. Gallus promptly left the ring, but Mark Coffey and Wolfgang tried to sneak attack Dunne and WALTER – and were laid out for their troubles.
WALTER never said a word, he just looked at Dunne, then the title, and walked away to close out the segment. W
Lana Austin vs. Nina Samuels
Nina Samuels defeated Lana Austin in a match that was 100% designed to showcase Samuels. Samuels didn’t completely squash Austin, but there was never a doubt as to who the eventual winner would be.
Samuels get the win via pinfall following a nasty Ushigoroshi that she calls the Prima Dona.
Winner: Nina Samuels
Jamie Ahmed vs. Eddie Dennis
Eddie Dennis defeated Jamie Ahmed in a squash match. Ahmed got a small flurry of offense in, but for the most part this was the Eddie Dennis Show.
Dennis scored the pinfall victory following the Next Stop Driver.
Winner: Eddie Dennis
Travis Banks vs. Jordan Devlin
Travis Banks ran to the ring and attacked Jordan Devlin to hot start the match, taking control of things early. He then continued the attack on Devlin all around the ringside area.
Devlin landed a chop block on Banks’ left knee near the steps at ringside to shift the control in his favor. There was a flash of offense from Devlin, including a standing moonsault, but it only earned him a two count.
Devlin nailed Banks with a beautiful Spanish Fly from the apron the floor, then another one in the ring, but both men went down and no pinfall attempts were made.
Banks hit Devlin with the Kiwi Crusher, but only got a two count. Both men, dead tired, tried to grapple with one another but tumbled to the floor. Neither could make the referee’s ten count, so the match ended in a double countout.
The two brawled throughout the arena as the show went off the air. This match was great, don’t be surprised to see a stipulation of some sort added to their next encounter.
Winner: Double Countout
