NXT TakeOver: New York is coming to you live out of the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, this Friday, April 5th, on the WWE Network. We’ve got the match card, as well as our predictions and overall thoughts on the show for you to check out below. Let us know what you think is going to happen during TakeOver by tweeting us, @TheRumbleRamble.

Aleister Black and Ricochet defeated all other competition in the Dusty Rhodes Classic to earn this shot against War Raiders at TakeOver. While competing in the tournament, Aleister and Ricochet were also tearing it up on the main roster, being featured against prominent teams on both Raw and SmackDown Live.

Though Black and Ricochet have been a virtually unstoppable team thus far, it seems pretty obvious that they are both done with NXT, and will therefore lose to Hanson and Rowe.

Winner: War Raiders

Velveteen Dream vs. Matt Riddle

North American Championship Match

The friction between Velveteen Dream and Matt Riddle has been growing over the past few weeks, and while we fully believe that Matt Riddle is headed toward a title run sooner or later, it’s not quite time. Velveteen will defeat The Original Bro and continue his majestic reign as North American Champion.

Winner: Velveteen Dream

Pete Dunne (c) vs. WALTER

United Kingdom Championship Match

WALTER has been a dominating force in NXT UK ever since arriving to the division, setting his sights almost immediately on Pete Dunne and his NXT UK Championship.

The Austrian Bruiser is possibly the most formidable opponent placed in The Bruiserweight’s path so far, and though Pete Dunne will not go quietly, WALTER will become your new United Kingdom Champion at TakeOver.

Winner: WALTER

Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Io Shirai vs. Kairi Sane vs. Bianca Belair

NXT Women’s Championship Match

Although Shayna Baszler lost the NXT Women’s Championship briefly to Kairi Sane, The Queen of Spades has held dominion over the NXT Women’s Division since this time last year at TakeOver: New Orleans.

However, with every member of the Four Horsewomen of NXT headed toward championship reigns by the end of WrestleMania, it’s the perfect time for Baszler to leave NXT to join Ronda Rousey on the main roster.

To be honest, we were torn between Bianca Belair and Io Shirai, but we would personally love to see Bianca win the Women’s Championship, leaving The Sky Pirates free to go after the tag titles.

Winner: Bianca Belair

Johnny Gargano vs. Adam Cole

Two Out of Three Falls NXT Championship Match

The Undisputed Era has already claimed that 2019 would be the year that they would completely take over NXT, and Adam Cole becoming NXT Champion will bring them one step closer to their goal.

And hear us out here, Johnny Gargano loses to Adam Cole, is finally fed up with the endless fight for the NXT Championship, goes to 205 Live, and has some insane matches with Buddy Murphy.

Winner: Adam Cole
