William Regal In-Ring Promo

William Regal kicked off tonight’s show with an in-ring promo, or at least attempted to. Regal was about to get into the latest details of the Aleister Black Attack Investigation, but was cut off by Undisputed Era before he could say much of anything.

After Undisputed Era dissed everyone, including War Raiders, Pete Dunne, and Ricochet, Adam Cole demanded an NXT North American Championship rematch. Regal granted him the match, in two weeks, but added Pete Dunne to make it a triple threat. He also announced an NXT Tag Team Championship match between Undisputed Era and War Raiders to take place in three weeks.

Velveteen Dream is NOT a Snitch

Cathy Kelley attempted to interview Velveteen Dream, but Dream didn’t want to talk. Dream said the only thing he wants to talk about is the NXT Champion, Tommaso Ciampa. Dream sort of hinted that Ciampa was the one who attacked Aleister Black, but he also said he wasn’t a snitch, so do with that information what you will.

Lars Sullivan vs. ???

Lars Sullivan was in the middle of a squash match when EC3 jumped in and attacked Sullivan, causing a disqualification. EC3 managed to get the best of the big man and run Sullivan off, something not many folks in NXT can say they have done.

Winner: Lars Sullivan (via disqualification)

Nikki Cross Knows?!?!

Nikki Cross popped out of William Regal’s office as Regal was about to enter, claiming that “she knows” something. When asked about it, Regal appeared to shake it off, implying that Cross was a bit off her rocker and not a viable source of information.

The Mighty vs. Street Profits

The Mighty, who stole some of Street Profits’ swag in a previous encounter, faced off with the Profits in tag team action. The Mighty focused in on Montez Ford’s left leg, cutting off the ring and forcing Ford to stay in their half for the entirety of the bout. Ford could never get the much-needed hot tag to Angelo Dawkins, and eventually lost what was ultimately a 2-on-1 handicap match.

Winner: The Mighty

Vanessa Borne vs. Kairi Sane

Kairi Sane defeated Vanessa Borne without much of a struggle, hitting the Insane Elbow and picking up the pinfall victory immediately after.

Post-match, Shayna Baszler came out and evoked her rematch clause. Sane quickly accepted the match. The two will meet again at WWE Evolution on October 28th with Sane’s NXT Women’s Championship on the line.

Winner: Kairi Sane

Tommaso Ciampa vs. Otis Dozovic

Otis Dozovic had the NXT Champion, Tommaso Ciampa, on the ropes for the first few moments of the match. Even when Ciampa managed to turn things around, Dozovic refused to quit, kicking out at two after two brutal knee strikes to the head.

Dozovic used his size and strength advantage to wear down his opponent, and Ciampa even tried to leave the match at one point, but Tucker Knight (Dozovic’s tag partner) prevented him from doing so. Ciampa eventually nailed Dozovic with two elevated DDT’s, including one to the floor, to get the pinfall victory.

Winner: Tommaso Ciampa
