Nikki Cross vs. Mercedes Martinez

Nikki Cross defeated Mercedes Martinez in an ultra-fun opening contest. Martinez gave Cross everything she could handle and then some, but Cross eventually got the pinfall victory following The Purge.

Post-match, Candice LeRae confronted Nikki Cross. Cross walked away, but Aleister Black appeared and stood face-to-face with LeRae instead. The two had a hushed conversation, with Black leaving after LeRae told him she didn’t know where Johnny Gargano was.

Winner: Nikki Cross

The Mighty vs. Street Profits

After a lengthy back-and-forth tag match, the Street Profits defeated The Mighty. Montez Ford captured the win for his team following a beautiful frog splash.

Winner: Street Profits

The Card for TakeOver: War Games Takes Shape

William Regal named Velveteen Dream the new number one contender for Tommaso Ciampa’s NXT Championship. The two will meet at TakeOver: War Games with the title on the line. Speaking of War Games, Aleister Black vs. Johnny Gargano was made official as well.

Lars Sullivan was not happy about the announcement. Sullivan claimed that he was going to find Velveteen Dream, rip him in half, and take his spot in the title match at TakeOver: War Games.

Matt Riddle’s In-Ring Debut

Matt Riddle defeated Luke Menzies in his NXT in-ring debut. Riddle got the win via submission, at which point the Full Sail crowd went nuts. There is no doubt that Riddle is going to be a very big deal in NXT.

Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan vs. Humberto Carrillo and Raul Mendoza

Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan defeated Humberto Carrillo and Raul Mendoza in tag team action. This match was one of those short bangers that NXT does so well. Don’t be surprised if Burch and Lorcan win the NXT Tag Team Championship titles in the not-so-distant future.

Winner: Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan

The War Raiders Crush Undisputed Era

The War Raiders were scheduled to face Bobby Fish and Adam Cole in tag team action, but Hanson and Rowe attacked the entire Undisputed Era backstage before the match could ever begin.

After a massive brawl in the Full Sail parking lot that included Cole getting thrown into a production truck like a dart (WCW flashbacks anyone?) and Ricochet running in, attempting to even the odds, things eventually spilled back into the arena and in front of the crowd.

Undisputed Era, who still had the 4-on-3 advantage, got the upper hand on War Raiders and Ricochet, but Pete Dunne made the run-in to finally makes things fair. General Manager William Regal announced the 4-on-4 War Games match for TakeOver: War Games to close out the show.
