The March 21st, 2018 episode of WWE NXT just wrapped up. We’ve got the match results as well as our thoughts on the show for you to check out below. Let us know what you thought about this episode of WWE NXT by tweeting us, @TheRumbleRamble.

Ciampa Sucks

Tommaso Ciampa skulked out from the backstage area and soaked in the boos from the crowd as he walked to the ring and into a sea of Johnny Gargano signs. Mic in hand once again, he stood in silence and waited for the audience to quiet down, but that moment never came. He finally lost it, speaking for the first time in weeks, screaming that Johnny was gone and never coming back. He proudly soaked in the “Ciampa sucks” chants before slowly making his way around the ring, ripping up fans’ signs until…

He grabbed one last sign and who was behind it but JOHNNY WRESTLING. Gargano jumped the barricade laid into Ciampa before being dragged away by officials.

The Undisputed Era Backstage

The mean girls of NXT, Undisputed Era, were shown backstage gossiping about Roderick Strong entering himself in the Tag Team Classic. They said he didn’t belong anywhere near the tag titles, but they weren’t worried because he’s a loser anyway. Kassius Ohno also got some jabs thrown his way because of the match taking place later in the evening between Ohno and Cole. Basically, if you’re not with Undisputed, you’re against them. And they will talk bad about you behind your back.

Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch vs. Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne

After Mustache Mountain’s unfortunate withdrawal from the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic due to an injury to the knee of Tyler Bate, Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne volunteered to take on Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch.

Knowing these four men, what sort of match do you imagine them having? Yep. You’re exactly right. It was awesome. Every guy in this match does the type of stuff that makes you think, “woah man, it’s not the pay-per-view yet!” but they don’t care. They give it all they have every single time they step in the ring. After some high-impact, high-speed action, Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne advanced in the tournament to a standing ovation.

Winner: Roderick Strong and Pete Dunne

Aliyah vs. Ember Moon

On her way to her match against Shayna Baszler at TakeOver: New Orleans, Ember Moon stopped off to have a match with Aliyah. The Queen of Spades sat at the announce table and watched her future competition carefully. This was good for several reasons: it gave Aliyah both tv time and practice in the ring, and allowed Ember to win a match that wasn’t exactly high-profile but wasn’t against someone we’ve never heard of either, adding a little more legitimacy to the victory.

Winner: Ember Moon

Andrade Almas Promo

We thought there was going to be another match, but as Raul Mendoza made his way down the ramp, Andrade shoved him down and walked to the ring with Zelina Vega. He was on a mission this evening and immediately began screaming in Spanish about Aleister Black. Almas demanded respect from Black and is more than prepared to take him on anytime, anywhere.

We’re not completely sure what he said word for word, but man did he look and sound confident saying it. If he’s going to cut promos, they need to be in Spanish from now on, because this was great.

Adam Cole vs. Kassius Ohno

Another match between absolute badasses of NXT, bay bay. Ohno and Cole are so fluid in the ring, nothing looks awkward, everything looks painful, you believe every moment of it. This was an intense bout with plenty of vicious spots and near falls. Adam Cole even executed a wicked Last Shot on Ohno at one point, which looked insane, but he still wasn’t able to capture the victory.

These men had the entire audience on its feet, hanging on their every move, and after several more minutes of hard work, Adam Cole took down the Knockout Artist.

Winner: Adam Cole
