Lacey Evans vs. Dakota Kai

Lacey Evans and Dakota Kai kicked off tonight’s show with singles competition. Kai came out of the gate on fire, hitting every kind of arm dram imaginable, using her speed to run circles around Evans in the process.

After Kai’s hot start, Evans eventually got the upper hand using her size and strength advantage. Evans is extremely aggressive, her in-ring work is believable, and her character is very strong; in other words, she’s got everything you need to be a major player in WWE.

Evans got the win via pinfall following The Woman’s Right.

Winner: Lacey Evans

Ricochet Speaks

Ricochet cut a promo backstage calling out Adam Cole and the rest of Undisputed Era. Ricochet said that he wants a shot at Cole and his NXT North American Championship. He claimed that Cole hadn’t been much of a fighting champion since winning the title, which seems a bit harsh, if we’re being honest.

They Bring the Swag Like Nobody Can

The Street Profits were shown doing all sorts of basketball training exercises, as well as some classic one-on-one ball, while discussing what they were going to do to TM-61. In case you forgot, TM-61 cheated to get a victory over The Profits not too long ago.

EC3 Finally Meets Kona Reeves

EC3 and Kona Reeves had an entertaining confrontation backstage. Reeves called EC3 out for not having the finest of gear, which led to EC3 challenging Reeves to a match. Reeves accepted, but also pointed out the fact that the two have a lot in common and could have been good friends.

Aleister Black vs. Tommaso Ciampa Promo

A vignette hyping next week’s NXT Championship match between the champion, Aleister Black, and the challenger, Tommaso Ciampa, was shown. These two are going to do something special next week, so be sure to tune in.

Kassius Ohno vs. Rick Ramirez (???)

Kassius Ohno defeated Rick Ramirez (???) in a squash match lasting less than a minute.

Winner: Kassius Ohno

Undisputed Era Responds

All 4 members of Undisputed Era responded to Ricochet’s NXT North American Championship challenge. Expect that sure-to-be instant classic to happen at TakeOver: Brooklyn IV.

A Deep Dive on the War Raiders

This was a well done piece highlighting the highs and lows in the careers of The War Raiders, Hanson and Rowe. Expect these two monsters to be the centerpiece of the NXT tag team division very soon.

Welcome to the Velveteen Dream Experience

Another well done video package, this one highlighting the short but eventful career of Velveteen Dream. Dream is so young, but so talented, and we can’t wait to see how good he is in five years.

Nikki Cross vs. Candice LeRae vs. Kairi Sane

NXT Women’s Championship No. 1 Contendership Match

The main event of the evening was a triple threat match between Nikki Cross, Candice LeRae, and Kairi Sane. It was announced prior to the bout that the winner would earn the right to face Shayna Baszler, who was on commentary during the match, for her NXT Women’s Championship at TakeOver: Brooklyn IV.

This was well worth the watch, so check it out if you missed it. In the finishing sequence, LeRae nailed Cross with a lionsault, but Sane’s Insane Elbow broke up the pinfall attempt, allowing her to get the victory.

Winner: Kairi Sane
