WWE NXT

The 07/10/19 edition of WWE NXT, out of the Full Sail Arena in Winter Park, Florida, just wrapped up. We’ve got the match results, as well as our overall thoughts on the show, for you to check out below. Let us know what you thought about episode #514 of NXT by tweeting us, @TheRumbleRamble.

Io Shirai Speaks

Io Shirai, with a new entrance and look, came out the ring to cut a (very short) promo to start the show. She only said a few things, including “I don’t need friends” and “I don’t need any of you.”

It’s worth noting that she looks really comfortable being the bad guy, so we’ve got high expectations for what the future holds for her in this new role.

Damian Priest vs. Blanco Loco

This was a squash match in favor of Damian Priest.

We’ve said this in the past, but Priest has EVERYTHING you need to be a star in 2019. For one, he looks like somebody special, which never hurts. He also moves incredibly well for his size and can talk well enough to tell a story on the mic.

Also, his voice is legit badass, like the guy should look into doing voice-over work once he hangs up the boots.

Winner: Damian Priest

BOA vs. Myles Jordan

NXT Breakout Tournament First Round Match

This one had a slow filling out process, but the last half of the match was really fun, which has already become the norm for this tournament.

We had never seen BOA before this match, but he looks promising, especially for his experience level. He’s got really nice strikes and seems to be somewhat comfortable in the ring already.

Myles Jordan used his athleticism to avoid BOA’s strikes, leading to some really fun spots towards the end of the match. Eventually, Jordan landed the 450 Splash to get the win and advance to the second round.

Winner: Myles Jordan

Street Profits (c) vs. Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan

NXT Tag Team Championship Match

Street Profits defended their NXT Tag Team Championship titles again Danny Burch and Oney Lorcan in the main event of the evening. Spoiler alert, this match ruled hard and is very much worth checking out if you missed it.

Things were pretty calm in this one until Burch cheapshotted Angelo Dawkins, turning up the intensity level up a notch or two. Montez Ford responded by doing Montez Ford things. He’s legit one of the best athletes in all of WWE.

The Street Profits got the win and retained their titles. The two had a faceoff with Undisputed Era to close out the show, so expect to see that match soon.

Winner: Street Profits
