The September 11 2019 episode of WWE NXT is taking place later this evening.

The following “quick hits” are advertised to be included in tonight’s show:

1. The Feud Between Rhea Ripley and Shayna Baszler Rolls On

Two weeks ago on NXT, Rhea Ripley made an appearance on the black and gold brand to throw down the gauntlet at Shayna Baszler’s feet. The Queen of Spades has been dominating the NXT Women’s Division from the moment she stepped onto the scene, but Rhea Ripley thinks she’s the one to dethrone her.

Last week, Ripley stepped away to focus her attention on the rivalry she already had going with Piper Niven, but now that’s brought Niven down in the ring, she’s ready to concentrate on Baszler.

2. Johnny Gargano Gives Some Answers

Johnny Gargano’s loss to Adam Cole at NXT TakeOver: Toronto, after several months of constant feuding with the Undisputed ringleader, felt like the end of an era. And since that match, Gargano has been absent from NXT TV, leaving all of his fans wondering what’s next for Johnny Wrestling.

But Gargano is finally ready to end the silence and will be picking up a microphone and giving the NXT Universe an update on his plan moving forward.

3. Pete Dunne Continues His Renewed NXT Run

As Pete Dunne not only reached the highest peak in NXT UK, but stood on top for a record-breaking amount of time, he made the decision to leave the red and gold brand in WALTER’s capable hands and return to Florida to begin the journey to the summit of the black and gold mountain.

Though Dunne lost his first attempt at championship gold in a triple threat match for the North American Championship against Roderick Strong and Velveteen Dream, he is not backing down and will be taking on Angel Garza in an effort to ignite a new winning streak.

4. Cameron Grimes Takes On Raul Mendoza

Cameron Grimes’ loss to Jordan Myles in the NXT Breakout Tournament was a tough pill for him to swallow. In fact, he has taken on a bit of a darker persona in response to the loss, promising to use this new attitude to turn things around.

His first opponent since adopting this identity will be Raul Mendoza, a Superstar who made his debut in a tournament as well, taking NXT by storm three years ago in the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic.

5. Candice LeRae Comes After Io Shirai

The feud between Candice LeRae and Io Shirai has been nothing short of vicious. The two have essentially taken turns beating the hell out of each other, Candice LeRae being the victim in the most recent assault, as Io Shirai took it upon herself to smash a kendo stick over LeRae’s back repeatedly in the parking lot last week.

But LeRae has already proven that she is just as brutal as Shirai, and will undoubtedly have a response to this attack tonight on NXT.
