The August 7 2019 episode of WWE NXT is taking place later this evening.
The following “quick hits” are advertised to be included in tonight’s show:
1. Matt Riddle Confronts Killian Dain
Since making his return to NXT, Killian Dain has made Matt Riddle his number one target. In fact, a few weeks ago on NXT TV, Dain attacked Riddle from behind and launched him through the stage.
Matt Riddle has been biding his time but is ready to confront The Beast of Belfast face-to-face. Though Riddle is by no means easy prey, Killian Dain seems to have come back to NXT completely unhinged. The Original Bro may have finally met his match.
2. Contract Signing: Street Profits and Undisputed Era
The Undisputed Era will be challenging The Street Profits for their NXT Tag Team Championships at NXT TakeOver: Toronto this Saturday. But before the two powerhouses of NXT lock horns, they will sign a contract agreeing to the terms of the match.
But Undisputed Era has never been too concerned with rules or decorum, so the chances of Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly attacking Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford to gain an edge in their match are high.
3. Shane Thorne Takes On Joaquin Wilde
Since the start of the Breakout Tournament, Shane Thorne taken exception to the fact that so many new Superstars are getting the spotlight over him. He is obviously more deserving and can’t believe that he’s been passed over so many times.
To make sure his displeasure with the tournament is known, Thorne has challenged Joaquin Wilde, one of the Breakout competitors. Joaquin was eliminated in the first round by Angel Garza, but is still a tough competitor, so Thorne may not have quite as dominant a showing as he’s hoping for.
4. NXT TakeOver: Toronto Is On The Horizon
NXT TakeOver: Toronto is going down in just a few short days, so we’re sure to get plenty of (awesome) video packages and recaps of the feuds being featured on the show.
