Jack Gallagher teased his mystery partner all day on social media and I would have never guessed that it would be Kushida if I’m being honest. A pleasant surprise, to say the least.
Things started off pretty slow, with Kushida’s hot tag being the moment that the entire match was built around. Once we got it, things picked up, and eventually, Kushida locked in his Hoverboard Lock to get the win.
Not the most eventful tag team matchup, but still solid nonetheless. Hopefully, we see more of Kushida on 205 Live going forward.
Winner: Jack Gallagher & Kushida
Humberto Carrillo & Lince Dorado vs. Drew Gulak & Tony Nese

NOW you can chant it, MSG. #205Live @DrewGulak @WWEGranMetalik pic.twitter.com/siduGZ3mzS
Before this one could get going, the bad guys attacked Carrillo and Dorado from behind during their entrances. Ariya Daivari joined in, which brought out Gran Metalik, who made the save.
Of course, if you’ve been watching wrestling for a while, you know what came next… a 6-man tag team match, playa!
The match itself was actually a ton of fun. The crowd, however, were more interested in chanting about a literal baby that was in the audience than enjoying the match, which was disappointing.
Gulak actually rocked Metalik like a baby at one point, which is why he’s the best, but still… shame on you, New York.
Dorado hit the Shooting Star Press on Gulak, the Cruiserweight Champion, to get the win for his team. Perhaps we see that again at Clash of Champions on Sunday?
