The 10/31/18 edition of WWE 205 Live, out of the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, Georgia, just wrapped up. We’ve got the WWE 205 Live results, as well as our overall thoughts on the show, for you to check out below. Jack Gallagher (w/ Drew Gulak) vs. Brian Kendrick

Jack Gallagher faced off against Brian Kendrick to kickoff tonight’s show. Drew Gulak, who accompanied Gallagher to the ring, was on commentary for the bout. Gulak attempted to get involved in the action, but Akira Tozawa showed up and shut it down quickly, allowing Kendrick to hit the Sliced Bread for the pinfall victory.

Winner: Brian Kendrick

Cedric Alexander and Drake Maverick Chat

Drake Maverick and Cedric Alexander chatted backstage regarding Alexander’s Cruiserweight Championship rematch clause. Maverick claimed that Alexander wasn’t the same man he was when he was the champ, and his current losing streak has delayed his rematch for the time being.

Kudos to the 205 Live creative team for addressing Alexander’s championship rematch, or lack thereof, in a creative and fresh way. It’s not that hard to tie up loose ends.

Gran Metalik vs. ???

Gran Metalik defeated a local competitor whose name we missed in a squash match. Post-match, TJP unmasked Gran Metalik, but the rest of the Lucha House Party ran in for the save.

In a later segment, Mike and Maria Kanellis, along with TJP, appeared to have created some sort of alignment to help neutralize the Lucha House Party’s numbers advantage.

Winner: Gran Metalik

Mustafa Ali vs. Tony Nese

Mustafa Ali and Tony Nese had a really great match to close out the evening. Ali had his ribs heavily taped, obviously showing signs of injury from last week’s Falls Count Anywhere Match with Hideo Itami, so of course, Nese went after those ribs often.

After a fun back-and-forth match, Ali pinned Nese to become the new number one contender for Buddy Murphy’s Cruiserweight Championship.

Winner: Mustafa Ali
