Lince Dorado faced off against Mike Kanellis to kick off tonight’s show. Kanellis is the newest member of the 205 Live roster and we couldn’t be happier for him, as his WWE run hasn’t gone as well as everyone had hoped so far.
Dorado looked to take things to the air early on during the bout, but Kanellis’ wife Maria got involved, causing a distraction and allowing for Kanellis to gain the upper hand. A spinning heel kick and a top rope hurricanrana got Dorado right back into the thick of things, but he couldn’t manage to put Kanellis away.
Even after nailing Kanellis with a beautiful shooting star press, Dorado couldn’t score the victory. In fact, Kanellis fought off Dorado, along with the rest of the Lucha House Party, and secured the pinfall victory in the process.
Winner: Mike Kanellis

205 Live General Manager, Drake Maverick, made an announcement concerning Buddy Murphy and his Cruiserweight Championship. A match will take place next week to determine the new number one contender for the title. Tony Nese was teased, so don’t be surprised if he’s the eventual opponent for Murphy’s first title defense.
Mustafa Ali vs. Hideo Itami
Falls Count Anywhere Match
Sheesh, what a clothesline! #205Live pic.twitter.com/FL1vLN4DvN

Mustafa Ali and Hideo Itami locked horns one more time, this time under falls count anywhere rules. It’s no surprise, but this was a hard-hitting fight that literally battered and bruised both men.
There were pinfall attempts on the floor outside of the ring early and often. At one point, Itami even tried to score a submission victory while atop the announce table, which was an excellent use of the rules. These two really went out of their way to do things that made sense given the stipulation, which was fun to see.
After some fun crowd brawling, Ali nailed Itami with a 450 splash from the top rope, to the floor and through a table to get the pinfall victory.
Post-match, General Manager Drake Maverick announced a Mustafa Ali//Tony Nese match for next week, with the winner earning the right to face Buddy Murphy for his Cruiserweight Championship at a later date.
Winner: Mustafa Ali
