Drew Gulak was on commentary for this match, so if you missed it, you need to check it out to hear Gulak’s commentary alone. He was absolutely golden on the headset.
Early on in the match, Lince Dorado and Jack Gallagher rolled around the ring, exchanging one counts, which you can see in the gif above. Pure comedy at its finest. Dorado and Gallagher actually locked up again later on in the bout, including during the finish, where Dorado nailed Gallagher with a shooting star press for the win.
Winner: Lucha House Party (Gran Metalik and Lince Dorado)
Hideo Itami Vignette

We got a video package highlighting the awesomeness that is Hideo Itami. Itami appears to be heading toward a singles run on 205 Live after his short-lived pairing with Akira Tozawa, which should lead to some amazing matches with the other cruiserweights. It’s fair to say Itami has underachieved since arriving in WWE, so hopefully things are finally going to turn around for him.

Mustafa Ali vs. Buddy Murphy
That THUD though.@WWE_Murphy just changed the landscape of this match… #205Live pic.twitter.com/fKOR4ZWfnk

These two beat the holy hell out of each other, and even with the dead crowd, managed to put on a fantastic match. In the early goings, Buddy Murphy hit Mustafa Ali with a running suplex onto the floor, which you can see in the gif above. Brutal stuff, to say the least.
Ali and Murphy came up with some creative ways to punish each other, because the winner of the bout was that much closer to a shot at Cedric Alexander and the Cruiserweight Championship. Murphy hit Ali with the back-to-back-to-back powerbomb combo, but Ali managed to survive, reversing the fourth attempt into a face buster, which got a two count.
There was a beautiful callback to the first encounter between these two from the Cruiserweight Title Tournament. Ali tried to hit a 450 splash on Murphy’s arm, but missed, which led to Murphy closing out the match by hitting Murphy’s Law to get the pinfall victory. This was easily one of the best cruiserweight matches of the year, which is saying a lot, so make sure to go out of your way to check it out if you haven’t seen it.
Winner: Buddy Murphy
