The opening contest saw Kalisto and Lince Dorado, representing Lucha House Party, face off against Jack Gallagher and Brian Kendrick, the party poopers of 205 Live. Drew Gulak was on commentary yet again, spilling hate in the direction of Lucha House Party throughout the match.
Gallagher and Kendrick both honed in on Kalisto’s left hand, attacking it early and often. Perhaps they assumed he wouldn’t be able to tag out with that hand if they continued to pounce on it? Only those two know.
Drew Gulak got involved in the match, attacking Lince Dorado, who was on the top rope and ready to fly. This allowed for Gallagher and Kendrick to get the win.

This match was incredible, and probably one of our favorite WWE matches of 2018. We’re not even going to try to write about what happened because our words wouldn’t do this bout justice. If you haven’t seen it, go watch it. Like right now. These two are both incredible performers, and watching them destroy each other, for the title, in the champ’s hometown and in front of his family, is what the sport of professional wrestling is all about.
