The 07/24/18 episode of WWE 205 Live just wrapped up. We’ve got the match results and our overall thoughts on the show for you to check out below. Let us know what you thought about episode #87 of WWE 205 Live by tweeting us, @TheRumbleRamble.

“Gentleman” Jack Gallagher vs. Akira Tozawa

General Manager Drake Maverick was on commentary for this bout, plugging the new hotness that is 205 Live and scouting some of his talent up close. Maverick is tremendous; arguably the best on-screen GM in WWE at the moment.

Gallagher and Tozawa had a nice back-and-forth match centered around Gallagher working Tozawa’s left elbow. Tozawa used his striking ability, as well his patented top rope senton, to even the odds and secure the victory.

Winner: Akira Tozawa

Lucha House Party (Lince Dorado and Kalisto) vs. ???

Lucha House Party, using only the finest of lucha things, defeated two local enhancement talents in dominant fashion. Buddy Murphy was shown watching the match backstage via television screen. Tony Neese, as well as Gran Metalik, were not present for tonight’s show.

Winner: Lucha House Party (Lince Dorado and Kalisto)

Mustafa Ali vs. Drew Gulak vs. Hideo Itami vs. TJP

Cruiserweight Championship #1 Contendership Match

Mustafa Ali, the only good guy in this match, found himself the victim to multiple double and triple team maneuvers throughout the bout. Ali fought hard, but ultimately, he went to sleep via Gulak’s Gu-Lock submission (as well as some rough offense on the outside from Hideo Itami).

Those are the basics, but this was a fantastic match. There was even a “this is awesome” chant, which is always a sign of how good the bouts on 205 Live are, because the crowds are usually pretty dead during the opening moments.

Winner: Drew Gulak
