Cruiserweight Champion Buddy Murphy faced off against Gran Metalik in a non-title match to kickoff this week’s show. Metalik gave Murphy one hell of a fight, especially early on, which was awesome to see.
Speaking of awesome, this match was tremendous. Metalik and Murphy put on an incredible show, going back-and-forth until the final moments of the bout.
Murphy caught Metalik slipping and landed Murphy’s Law to score the pinfall victory. This one was close until the last second, with Metalik appearing a legit threat to Murphy throughout the entire match.
Winner: Buddy Murphy
Cedric Alexander vs. Tony Nese

Much like the opening contest, this bout between Cedric Alexander and Tony Nese was super-competitive and an absolute joy to watch.
Nese pushed Alexander to his limits during the match; although Alexander won, he most certainly had to earn the victory.
Both Alexander and Buddy Murphy look like a million bucks heading into their much anticipated Cruiserweight Championship rematch, taking place this Sunday at WWE TLC.
