Tonight’s episode of 205 Live was just the 10-man elimination tag team match… seriously, these guys went at for 45 minutes (!) and managed to keep my attention for the entirety of that time.
Some of my personal highlights/notes:
- Isaiah “Swerve” Scott really shined here. He spent a lot of time as one of the legal guys in the match and absolutely stole the show for me. He’s going to be fun to watch in WWE for years to come.
- Drew Gulak attacked Oney Lorcan towards the end of the match with a chair, eliminating himself via DQ in the process. Expect to see more of those two in the future.
- Humberto Carrillo and Angel Garza was the thread that held this thing together. Those two are legit cousins, and the commentary team did a good job of playing that up.
- Carrillo actually pinned Garza to get the win for Team Lorcan, with himself and Lorcan being the final two survivors. So he, and Lorcan, have legitimate arguments for a title shot at the moment.
