Lio Rush, with another new nickname (Lio5 Live), faced off against Akira Tozawa in singles competition to start the show. Rush plays the role of cowardly heel beautifully; he’s constantly searching for an unfair advantage over his opponent.
Rush got the pinfall victory following the Rush Hour. He came to collect, and so far, he’s collecting a ton of victories.
Winner: Lio Rush
Mustafa Ali is Out
#205Live General Manager @WWEMaverick reveals that @MustafaAliWWE is out of action with exhaustion and will not compete in a #205Live ring until he makes a full recovery, according to @WWEMaverick‘s standards. pic.twitter.com/KZr5enJzCM

General Manager Drake Maverick announced that Mustafa Ali will be out of action until he’s 100% healthy. Ali struggled to get through his match with Hideo Itami last week, so this is probably for the best.

Hideo Itami defeated Trent Newman (???) via ref stoppage. Itami continued to beatdown post-match, because why the hell not?

Jack Gallagher managed to do a solid job of grounding Cedric Alexander throughout the match, outsmarting him multiple times to gain the advantage. Gallagher looked really good here – we’re excited to see what the future holds for him.
After being given everything he could handle (and then some) from Gallagher, Alexander hit a beautiful Spanish fly to get the pinfall victory. Post-match, Drew Gulak (along with Brian Kendrick) attacked Alexander to close out the show.
Alexander will defend his Cruiserweight Championship against Gulak this Sunday at SummerSlam on the kickoff show, so be sure to to tune in early so you don’t miss out.
Winner: Cedric Alexander
