The July 30 2019 episode of WWE 205 Live is taking place later this evening.
The following “quick hits” are advertised to be included in tonight’s show:
1. Mike Kanellis and Drew Maverick in an Unsanctioned Match
Poor Mike Kanellis has had a rough go of it lately. He’s struggled to maintain a winning streak in 205 Live, his wife forced him to give up his 24/7 Championship last night on Raw, and he just generally isn’t taken seriously by anyone around him.
But tonight on 205 Live, he will get an opportunity to turn his situation around in the form of an Unsanctioned Match against 205 Live General Manager Drake Maverick. If he wins this match, he will receive a championship opportunity against Drew Gulak.
As Drake Maverick has been consumed by his 24/7 title chase, Mike Kanellis will have a leg up from the jump if he can stay focused, but he still has a challenge ahead of him, especially with the unsanctioned stipulation.
2. The Singh Brothers Challenge Akira Tozawa and Brian Kendrick
Now that The Singh Brothers have moved on from Lucha House Party, they have turned their attention toward the relatively new team of Akira Tozawa and Brian Kendrick.
Though Tozawa and Kendrick don’t have years of experience as a tag team, they have proven that they have each other’s backs and that bond, along with their respective talents in the ring, may be enough to bring down the Singhs.
