The July 23 2019 episode of WWE 205 Live is taking place later this evening.
The following “quick hits” are advertised to be included in tonight’s show:
1. Drew Gulak Faces an Unexpected Competitor
Long before becoming the Cruiserweight Champion, Drew Gulak was bulldozing his way through the 205 Live competitors. Now that he is champion, he’s in need of some fresh challenges.
Luckily, NXT is full of talent, and one of their newest faces, Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, will be making his way to the purple brand for the night to take on the champ. Scott suffered a loss at the hands of Cameron Grimes in NXT’s breakout tournament but has assured the WWE Universe that he won’t be making the same mistake twice.
2. Drake Maverick Makes a Deal with Mike Kanellis
Mike Kanellis’ frustration with the 205 Live general manager and the way he’s been used on the show ultimately resulted in him confronting Drake Maverick himself to demand a championship match against Drew Gulak.
Maverick agreed, but only if Kanellis is able to defeat him in singles competition. Though the match won’t be happening tonight, the duo will make their contest official with a contract signing.
3. Humberto Carrillo and Raul Mendoza vs. Lucha House Party
Humberto Carrillo and Raul Mendoza will team up once again, this time facing Lucha House Party in some friendly competition. Carrillo and Mendoza aren’t the well-oiled machine that is Lucha House Party and will certainly have their work cut out for them, but regardless of the victors, these two teams are undoubtedly going to give us some exciting action.
