The August 6 2019 episode of WWE 205 Live is taking place later this evening.
The following “quick hits” are advertised to be included in tonight’s show:
1. Drake Maverick Chooses Drew Gulak’s Next Opponent
Drew Gulak has kept his promise of being a dominant leader in his 6 weeks as Cruiserweight Champion – and he’s just getting started. Gulak has defeated nearly everyone on the 205 Live roster in the past, and even some NXT stars, such as Isaiah “Swerve” Scott, who he defeated a couple of weeks ago on 205 Live. At this point, Gulak is in need of some fresh competition.
Now that Drake Maverick has taken a (tiny) step back from his 24/7 Championship pursuit, he is able to focus his attention on his 205 Live General Manager duties. Tonight, Maverick will choose Gulak’s next target. The timing seems convenient for an impromptu Cruiserweight Championship match at Summerslam, but whether or not that’s the case, we’ll have to wait to find out.
