The August 20 2019 episode of WWE 205 Live is taking place later this evening.
The following “quick hits” are advertised to be included in tonight’s show:
1. Five-On-Five Captain’s Challenge Match
To add a fresh feel to their feud, Drew Gulak and Oney Lorcan were each given an opportunity to pick four teammates for a Captain’s Challenge to take place tonight on 205 Live.
Oney Lorcan chose Gentleman Jack Gallagher, Akira Tozawa, Humberto Carrillo, and Isaiah “Swerve” Scott to fill out his team, while Drew Gulak picked Ariya Daivari, Mike Kanellis, Angel Garza, and Tony Nese.
Obviously, most of the competitors are well-established in the purple brand, but there are two relatively new to the scene with whom you may be unfamiliar – Isaiah “Swerve” Scott and Angel Garza. Both Scott and Garza made their WWE debuts in NXT for the recent Breakout Tournament.
And though neither man made it through to the end, they both had impressive performances in their introductions to the WWE Universe.
With this insanely stacked lineup of competitors in the Captain’s Challenge match alone, not to mention whatever else is in store, tonight’s episode of 205 Live is no doubt going to be must-watch.
