The WWE Universe has been awaiting the announcement of the WrestleMania 36 location with bated breath for months now. And yesterday morning, we finally got our answer. WrestleMania 36 will take place in the Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on April 5th, 2020. Raymond James is an open-air stadium, home to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers NFL team.
As you may have noticed, WrestleMania 36 appears to be pirate-themed. And with the 100-foot replica pirate ship standing in one of the end zones, complete with fireable cannons (which we sincerely hope they take advantage of at some point during the show), along with “Buccaneer Cove,” a built-in pirate village housing concessions, WWE will fit right in.
Personally, we can’t wait to see what kind of set they come up with for next year’s show of shows. With the above-mentioned features of the stadium already in place and numerous pop-culture references to glean inspiration, the possibilities are endless.
