WWE recently announced that NXT Champion Tommaso Ciampa had suffered a neck injury that required surgery, meaning that he would be absent from the product for an undetermined amount of time.

Although it wasn’t expressly stated that Tommaso Ciampa has been forced to relinquish the title due to injury, we can only assume that Triple H will be announcing that he has, as well as how they will proceed in order to crown a new champion.
