As revealed on last night’s episode of SmackDown Live, Buddy Murphy will soon be making his way to the blue brand as SmackDown’s newest Superstar. Before he hits the main roster, however, he will be making a pitstop in his old stomping grounds, The Full Sail Arena, to challenge Velveteen Dream for his North American Championship.
Velveteen Dream, who successfully defended the title against Matt Riddle at NXT TakeOver: New York, will have his work cut out for him against WWE’s Best Kept Secret and former Cruiserweight Champion, Buddy Murphy.
This sure to be epic showdown was sparked out of Velveteen’s disrespect of Buddy immediately after he lost the Cruiserweight Championship to Tony Nese in the pre-show of WrestleMania 35, as you can see below:
