Tommaso Ciampa Suffers Neck Injury, Requires Surgery

Earlier today, WWE announced that Tommaso Ciampa recently suffered a neck injury and requires surgery. The NXT Champion is scheduled to receive anterior cervical fusion surgery tomorrow, which is performed to remove a herniated disc in the neck.

This is a particularly devastating blow for Ciampa and his fans, as he made his in-ring return less than a year ago at TakeOver: New Orleans after a nearly year-long absence due to knee surgery from a ruptured ACL.

At this time, it is unclear how long Ciampa will be out of action, but we hope for a smooth and speedy recovery for NXT’s favorite villain.
