The September 25 2019 editions of WWE NXT and NXT UK went down this past Wednesday. Listed below are the 5 best moments from the shows.
Matt Riddle and Killian Dain in a Street Fight Rematch
As the Street Fight between Matt Riddle and Killian Dain last week was derailed, they competed in a rematch this week on NXT, but this time with higher stakes – they would be fighting for No. 1 Contendership to Adam Cole’s NXT Championship.
Dain and Riddle utilized the entire arena for this bout, brawling in the ring, at ringside, into backstage, and even through a wall, taking full advantage of the street fight stipulation.
Killian Dain absolutely demolished Matt Riddle, even pummeling him with three Vader bombs, but Riddle ultimately took the No. 1 Contender’s position with his Fujiwara Armbar.
In true Adam Cole fashion, the champ came down to the ring to intimidate Matt Riddle, who submitted him as well before making a run for it when the rest of Undisputed Era appeared to back up their leader.
A Battle Between Behemoths
Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic both seem to defy the laws of physics in the ring, demonstrating the kind of speed, agility, and high-flying ability you would expect from a much smaller man.
So when the two come together, you’re almost guaranteed a magical match. And that’s exactly what this was. Dijakovic came out on top of their match last month, giving Keith Lee even more motivation to overcome this challenge.
Though Dominik Dijakovic put up one hell of a fight, Keith Lee was the one to capture the victory with his devastating Limit Breaker.
Dakota Kai Makes Her In-Ring Return
After nearly a year of being on the shelf due to an ACL tear, Dakota Kai made her in-ring return this past week on NXT, taking on Taynara Conti in a vicious match.
It quickly became evident that Dakota used the time away to formulate a new in-ring strategy, and stepped into the ring with a much higher level of aggression than we’re used to seeing from her. But this plan of action paid off in spades, as she rather handily defeated Taynara, garnering a massive ovation for her efforts.

Cameron Grimes Takes On Raul Mendoza
Something snapped in Cameron Grimes when he lost in the finals of the NXT Breakout Tournament, and this new attitude has proven a useful tool, as he has come out on top of all of his matches since.
Although Raul Mendoza is no easy challenge, Cameron Grimes successfully used his brawler style to ground the high flyer and win the contest with his double stomp finisher.
Kushida Brings Friends to Fight Imperium
Last week on NXT, Kushida interrupted Imperium’s takeover of NXT US, picking a fight with WALTER and his cohorts. To get back at their would-be challenger, WALTER invited (more like demanded) that Kushida find some tag partners to join him in taking on Imperium.
In his relatively short time in NXT, Kushida has made some friends – and talented friends at that. Tyler Breeze and Fandango came to Kushida’s aid, helping him to not only defeat Imperium but to put on an impressive match along the way. Unfortunately for Kushida, he had little time to celebrate, as WALTER, who did not participate in the match, attacked him as he exited the arena.
