Boss ‘n’ Hug Continue the Destruction
To kick-off last night’s episode of SmackDown Live, Bayley came to the ring to discuss her savage beatdown of Becky Lynch the previous night on Raw. Charlotte Flair made her entrance to confront the former sweetheart of SmackDown Live, claiming that not only was Bayley’s passion for hugs laughable but now she’s two-faced as well.
Sasha Banks interrupted the interaction, and having seen what happened to Becky Lynch the night previously, Charlotte punched Bayley in the face before Banks made it to the ring, hoping to overcome the 2 against 1 situation she had been put in.
But despite her best efforts, Charlotte couldn’t outdo the Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection, who beat her down with a steel chair just like they had with The Man.
Ali and Elias Compete in King of the Ring Quarter-Finals
In yet another awesome King of the Ring match-up, Elias and Ali faced off to determine which of them would be the one to advance to next week’s semi-finals. Before the match, Ali stated that he had a great amount of heart, something Elias knew nothing about, and that’s what would see him through to victory.
But, at least this time around, heart wasn’t enough to overcome brawn, and even though Ali gave it his all and came close to winning multiple times, Elias took the win in the end with his Drift Away.
Aleister Black Returns to the Ring
After what felt like months of Aleister Black sitting in his dark room backstage begging for someone to “pick a fight with him,” he grew tired of waiting and made his way to the ring, daring anyone brave enough to meet him there.
Shelton Benjamin answered the challenge with a smirk on his face, clearly thinking that he had what it took to bring Black down. It very quickly turned out he was mistaken, however, as Aleister Black only had to throw a few of his devastating strikes and a Black Mass to vanquish his would-be conquerer.

Chad Gable and Andrade Tear It Up in King of the Ring Quarter-Finals
The moment Chad Gable stepped into the ring, Andrade and Zelina Vega, but mostly Zelina, were there to tear him down verbally. Like everyone else Gable has interacted with in recent weeks, Zelina made fun of his height and said that someone of his size couldn’t possibly have a hope of getting past the future King Andrade.
But get past him, he did, despite Zelina Vega’s best attempts to prevent this from happening. With a bloody mouth, Chad Gable smiled as he walked back up the ramp, head held high, knowing that he would be the one to move on to the semi-finals, against all expectations.
Rowan Finally Snaps
Daniel Bryan has been maintaining his innocence in the Roman Reigns attacks ever since Buddy Murphy pointed the finger at Rowan and it was assumed that Bryan had something to do with it. To be fair, Bryan does present himself as a bit of a ringleader when it comes to his partnership with Rowan.
But last night on SmackDown Live, we discovered that Bryan actually has been telling the truth all along. He had nothing to do with it; Rowan really was acting of his own accord. And Rowan was fed up with Bryan’s disrespectful treatment.
To illustrate exactly how angry he was, Rowan decimated both Roman Reigns and Daniel Bryan before reminding Roman that he has much worse waiting for him when they step in the ring together at Clash of Champions.
