The September 24 2019 edition of WWE SmackDown Live went down this past Tuesday in the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. Listed below are the 5 best moments from the show.

Daniel Bryan Gains An Unlikely Ally

After interrupting his former protector Erick Rowan again, Daniel Bryan challenged him to a formal match, which Rowan accepted. Bryan fought as hard as he could, coming close to victory multiple times despite the drastic size disadvantage, but Erick Rowan eventually took him down with two Iron Claws.

And Rowan wasn’t done there. With the help of Luke Harper, Rowan continued to abuse Daniel Bryan until the man all three of them seem to hate – Roman Reigns – ran down to save the planet’s champ.

Although Roman successfully chased both Erick Rowan and Luke Harper away, Daniel Bryan was not ready to be friends with The Big Dog. He was, however, willing to challenge Rowan and Harper to a tag match against himself and Reigns at Hell in a Cell and the match was officially set shortly after.

Ali Challenges Shinsuke Nakamura to a Rematch

Shinsuke Nakamura has been an avid fan of bending the rules in matches for quite some time now, which has only been highlighted by his teaming up with Sami Zayn, who gladly took up the role of representing the Intercontinental Champion.

Last week on SmackDown Live, Sami Zayn assisted Shinsuke in a less-than-fair defeat of Ali. And because of this, Ali was anxious to get back in the ring with the King of Strongstyle, this time hoping for a fair fight.

While that is not at all what he received, and he was unable to overcome the 2-on-1 odds, he did get much more offense in on the champ, which will most likely lead to a third round between them sooner rather than later.

Charlotte Flair Seeks Revenge on Boss ‘n’ Hug

In an effort to teach Bayley and Sasha Banks a lesson for their unsportsmanlike behavior since reuniting on SmackDown, Charlotte Flair challenged them to a tag match, enlisting the help of Carmella, who saved The Queen from the devious duo last week.

But through their friendship and history as a tag team, Boss ‘n’ Hug have become a force to be reckoned with and took down The Princess before turning their attention on The Queen.

Charlotte was about to suffer another 2-on-1 attack when Becky Lynch ran down to save her; or rather, to attack Sasha and Bayley, as she seemed fairly unconcerned with Charlotte’s well-being.

Kofi Kingston Exudes Confidence

Michael Cole held an exclusive interview with Kofi Kingston regarding his WWE Championship match against Brock Lesnar next week on SmackDown.

And while it would have been completely understandable for Kofi Kingston to show some sort of fear or apprehension, he did no such thing. Quite the opposite, Kofi was calm and confident throughout the entire segment, even after he was shown a highlight reel of Brock Lesnar’s monstrous career.

Banks’ Statement

Feeling confident after her tag team win against Charlotte Flair and Carmella, Sasha Banks decided to use this as fuel to brutally attack Becky Lynch ahead of their Hell in a Cell Match at the pay-per-view event next week.

Sasha Banks interrupted an interview with The Man and, giving her a preview of what awaits her inside the cell, ground her face against a chainlink fence, threw her into a metal case, and smashed her into the concrete floor.

If their Hell in a Cell match wasn’t going to be insanely brutal before, it definitely will be now.
