The OC Take On The Viking Raiders
Just minutes after last night’s episode of Raw began, we got this match featuring Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson of The OC facing off against Erik and Ivar, The Viking Raiders.
AJ Styles was at ringside initially, but was ejected after attempting to interfere in the match, leaving Erik and Ivar in a much better situation. Although Gallows and Anderson certainly gave The Viking Raiders a run for their money, Erik and Ivar emerged victorious, continuing their epic winning streak.
Nikki Cross Seeks Revenge on Sasha Banks
Sasha Banks and Bayley “injuring” Alexa Bliss to the point that she was forced to abandon Nikki Cross during their tag match last week was not taken lightly by the Women’s Tag Team Champions.
So in an effort to get back at the Boss ‘n’ Hug Connection for this injustice, Nikki Cross squared off with Sasha Banks last night on Raw. Nikki Cross gave Sasha Banks everything she had and would have won the match, too, but the 2-on-1 odds got the better of her once again.
Bayley caused a distraction, allowing Sasha Banks to take the win with her Banks Statement and beat Alexa Bliss down when she tried to argue with The Boss.
Authors of Pain Make Their Presence Known
Akam and Rezar, the Authors of Pain, made their second appearance since resurfacing on WWE TV, claiming to have exposed the rest of the roster as being “soft” before calmly leaving their seats to demonstrate exactly what AOP stands for.
They walked into the hallway, leveled the first two men they could get their hands on, then returned to the dark room and sat back down as if nothing had happened. Cold-blooded killer is a good look for the Authors of Pain.

Rey Mysterio Becomes No. 1 Contender
WWE intends to kick off the new season of Raw with a bang, and will do so with a Universal Championship Match next week. As there were several men keen to be the one awarded this opportunity, a Fatal 5-Way Elimination Match was held to determine which of them would be the one to battle Seth Rollins.
This match was packed with stiff competition, including AJ Styles, Ricochet, Robert Roode, Rey Mysterio, and Shinsuke Nakamura, and each man shined throughout, making this match feel like anyone’s game.
Ricochet had a particularly impressive performance, but it was Rey Mysterio who claimed the title shot in the end, setting up the first-ever contest between Mysterio and Seth Rollins.
The Fiend Brings Down The Monster
As if Seth Rollins didn’t already have a full plate, he agreed to a challenge from Braun Strowman for a match last night on Raw. It appeared that Braun Strowman was coming close to defeating Rollins, which would have given him a legitimate argument to reenter the Universal Title picture, but just as he lifted Rollins for his devastating powerslam, the arena went dark.
The Fiend locked in not one, but two Mandible Claws on The Monster Among Men, taking him down while a terrified Seth Rollins watched from the corner of the ring. Once again, The Fiend did not turn his aggression on Rollins, which made the statement Bray Wyatt made earlier in the evening about “saving” Seth Rollins rather than hurting him even more interesting.
