Seth Rollins Summons The Fiend
In a rather ill-advised move, Seth Rollins opened last night’s episode of Raw by calling out The Fiend. Specifically, discussing The Fiend’s attack to close out Clash of Champions and the fact that he would be facing WWE’s resident psychopath at the Hell in a Cell event next month.
But before he could talk too much about his next challenge, Bray Wyatt appeared on the big screen, telling Seth Rollins how happy he was that Rollins didn’t seem too banged up after his encounter with The Fiend.
As always, however, Bray’s chipper demeanor soon gave way to his darker, more menacing persona. And with a murderous look on his face, he reminded Seth that while friends forgive, The Fiend never forgets.
Baron Corbin and Chad Gable Throw Down in King of the Ring Finals
There is really no question that the 2019 King of the Ring Tournament was the best of its kind in WWE history. It began with 16 of the top Superstars from both Raw and SmackDown Live, and after weeks of grueling competition, came down to Chad Gable and Baron Corbin.
Before Gable and Corbin even came to the ring, we knew this would be a good match, but they truly gave the WWE Universe a battle that made being King of the Ring feel like the most coveted prize in the entire company.
Baron Corbin came out on top, but both men gave incredible performances and Chad Gable proved himself to be just as big of a star as King Corbin.
Rey Mysterio Takes On Cesaro
In a continuation of Rey Mysterio’s effort to reclaim his mojo after nearly retiring from the ring a few weeks ago, Mysterio took on Cesaro, one of the toughest challenges available to him.
Cesaro wasn’t even in gear last night, but accepted the match anyway, giving Mysterio all he had in business casual attire. Though Cesaro gave Rey Mysterio an intense battle, Mysterio emerged victorious with his Mysterio Express.

AOP Return to WWE TV
After a long hiatus from WWE TV due to a knee injury, Akam and Rezar, the duo known as The Authors of Pain, or AOP, made their return last night on Raw. While they didn’t compete in a match or even come to the ring, their backstage promo, in which they each spoke their native language, was one of the best AOP segments in the team’s history.
And if they continue to be presented in this way, Akam and Rezar could be a big deal in whichever tag team division they end up after the draft.
Kane Makes an Appearance on Raw
As Raw was in Knoxville, Tennessee, last night, who better to make a special guest appearance than the Mayor of Knox County, Glenn Jacobs, otherwise known as The Demon Kane?
Kane had a pretty eventful day, from giving R-Truth and Carmella a tour of the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame, to winning and losing the 24/7 Championship, to saving Seth Rollins from a 5-on-1 beating at the hands of The OC, Robert Roode, and Dolph Ziggler.
But his day would end on a slightly less positive note, as after he laid out Seth Rollins’ five would-be attackers, he was brutally attacked by The Fiend, who wanted a new friend for his wall in the Fun House.
