Asuka and Kairi Turn on Paige

When Asuka and Kairi Sane first made the decision to become a duo, they were led by former WWE Superstar Paige, who provided both a manager and translator for the promising new tag team.

From there, Asuka and Kairi floundered slightly, unable to gain their footing in this budding division even though individually, they are two of the most talented women in the company. So Asuka and Kairi took a new approach, adopting a darker look and attitude, as well as the classic green mist attack, used by Asuka.

Seeing her old clients reach heights in the Women’s Tag Team Division, capturing the titles and dominating their opponents, Paige made a bid to return to the fold, claiming that she had been behind the entire idea and insinuating that they need her.

But The Kabuki Warriors are much stronger than they were when she left them, and have a much clearer vision of who they are as a tag team, and therefore did not take Paige’s disrespectful tone lightly.

Asuka ambushed Paige with the green mist before she and Kairi Sane moved in to gang up on her. Luckily for Paige, Becky Lynch ran down to save her, sparking the scheduled match between Becky Lynch and Kairi Sane, which turned out to be just as impressive as this opening segment.

Sin Cara Enlists Back-Up for Rematch with Andrade

Frustrated by his loss to Andrade due to interference from Zelina Vega, Sin Cara brought along a friend of his own for their rematch this week on Raw. This new friend, called Carolina, would be at ringside for his match, making an effort to offset any attacks Zelina may have up her sleeve.

And Carolina was able to stop Zelina’s attempt to throw Sin Cara off track, but Sin Cara became distracted by the brawl between the two ladies and fell victim to a roll-up from Andrade.

This combination of four Superstars is extremely interesting and could provide some fun matches in the future, starting with a match between Zelina Vega and Carolina, which was teased for next week after this match, as Zelina was less than pleased by Carolina’s interception of her interference.

Buddy Murphy Returns to Raw

Since being drafted to Raw, Buddy Murphy has been absent from WWE TV (as well as for a good amount of time prior to the draft), but finally made his return this week in the form of a match against former 24/7 Champion R-Truth.

Though this wasn’t the longest, most intense match, it was something different and gave both Buddy Murphy and R-Truth a chance to be on Raw when they may not have been otherwise.

R-Truth’s obsession with the 24/7 Title ultimately cost him the match, just as Buddy Murphy promised it would, and Murphy’s second promise came true as well, that Truth, as well as the Raw audience, would know who he was from then on.

We know this is just the start of an exciting stretch on Raw for Buddy Murphy and can’t wait for Australia’s Finest to no longer be WWE’s best kept secret.

Seth Rollins Defeats Erick Rowan in Falls Count Anywhere Match

In preparation for his match against the indomitable Fiend on Halloween, Seth Rollins took on Erick Rowan in a Falls Count Anywhere Match, the very same stipulation that he will face during Thursday’s event.

Rollins and Rowan took full advantage of the stipulation, fighting in the ring, at ringside, through the audience, into the concourse, through the backstage area, and up the ramp, on the stage, and atop the announcers’ perch.

And Erick Rowan’s size and strength advantage only became more glaring as the match went on, the former Bludgeon Brother rag dolling the Universal Champion all over the arena, tossing him around with ease.

Becoming increasingly aware that he simply couldn’t overpower Erick Rowan, Seth Rollins resorted to less than honorable, but still legal given the stipulation, tactics. While the two brawled through the backstage area, Rollins screamed at a nearby forklift operator to turn the machine on, demanding that he pin Rowan beneath the prongs.

The worker was hesitant to obey but ultimately did as he was told, making it impossible for Rowan to lift himself from the ground and giving Rollins the win.

Humberto Carrillo Takes On the “True” Top Guy

Slightly resentful that when listing his goals for the new chapter of his career on Raw, Humberto Carrillo overlooked challenging the true top guy and United States Champion, AJ Styles approached Carrillo backstage, stating that if he really wanted to prove himself, he would take on the mother lover himself.

Anxious to demonstrate his in-ring ability to a new audience and roster, Carrillo agreed to the match and the two stepped in the ring for battle. Although Styles won this match fair and square (Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson keeping their distance), Humberto Carrillo held his own from the very first moment to the very last, just as he did last week against the Universal Champion, Seth Rollins.

And if this wasn’t enough to give Humberto Carrillo a valid argument for a rematch, what happened next surely did. Styles disrespected Carrillo by offering a handshake and then rejecting it, so Humberto punched him in the face. This brought the rest of The OC into the ring, who assisted Styles in taking Carrillo down with a Styles Clash before preparing to continue their 3-on-1 attack.

But fellow Raw newcomers, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford, had been watching from the back and came rushing down to save Carrillo, no doubt setting up what will be an excellent 6-man tag match in the near future.
