The Kabuki Warriors Defend the Women’s Tag Team Championships
To kick off a (somewhat surprisingly) fun episode of Raw, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch teamed up to take on The Kabuki Warriors for the Women’s Tag Team Championships.
Despite being very recent enemies, Becky and Charlotte were able to put their differences aside and take Asuka and Kairi to the limit. Though Charlotte and Becky put up an impressive fight, a distraction provided by Shayna Baszler and Bayley coupled with The Kabuki Warriors’ resolve to win by any means necessary led to Asuka and Kairi retaining when it was all said and done.
This wasn’t necessarily Shayna and Bayley’s intended outcome, as it appeared Shayna was there with the simple mission to wreak havoc, which led to Bayley running down to attack her (simply because she was there). With Survivor Series on the horizon, things continue to heat up between the red, blue, and gold squads, and this was just the start of the NXT takeover.
Cedric Alexander Challenges Andrade
As Andrade (and Zelina Vega) came out on top of their feud with Sin Cara and Carolina, Andrade was in need of some fresh competition, opening the door for Cedric Alexander to step into the open spot.
This wasn’t a particularly long match, but it was exciting, as you would only expect from a match between Cedric and Andrade. Though Cedric lost the match, it was largely due to interference from Zelina Vega, which will no doubt lead to Cedric taking another shot at the dynamic duo.
Imperium Invades Raw
High on his recent match with Adam Cole and talk with his long-time mentor Triple H, Seth Rollins came to the ring looking for a fight. He demanded the best the UK had to offer and received none other than the NXT UK Champion WALTER, along with the rest of Imperium.
Rollins appeared to be somewhat unfamiliar with the powerhouse of NXT UK, as WALTER was able to take control of the match early with ease. And when Seth Rollins began to chip away at the champ, his Imperium brethren were right there to stop him in his tracks.
This led to an equally intense 8-man tag match between all four members of Imperium and the team of Seth Rollins, The Street Profits, and Kevin Owens. At this point, it remains unclear as to whether the red and gold brand will get the opportunity to compete at Survivor Series, but this episode of Raw was enough to lead us to hope they do.

The NXT UK Invasion Continues
Following up Imperium’s expert display of in-ring work against Team Raw, the former NXT UK Tag Team Champions, Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews, appeared to take on the current Raw Tag Team Champions, The Viking Raiders.
As is the norm for a Viking Raiders match, the contrast in sizes allowed for some incredible back and forth between the two teams, with Webster and Andrews giving Erik and Ivar more of a fight than they’ve ever received when given such a power advantage.
The OC Take On Randy Orton, Ricochet, and Humberto Carrillo
To cap off this episode of Raw, The OC fought Randy Orton, Ricochet, and Humberto Carrillo to prove that their bite was just as strong as their bark. Earlier in the evening, AJ Styles and his good brothers thought they would make an easy target out of Humberto, not realizing that they have rubbed so many members of the Raw roster the wrong way at this point that Ricochet and the unlikely third man, Randy Orton, were more than happy to step in to defend him.
Unsurprisingly, this match eventually devolved into chaos, given the sheer number of competitors and the fact that Randy Orton and Ricochet were clearly not on the same page, but it was a fantastic match nonetheless.
And to end the show with a special moment (at least for me), Randy Orton showed a glimmer of benevolence by tagging Humberto Carrillo into the match to finish off their opponents with a moonsault even though The Viper could have just taken the win and the glory for himself.
