The September 17 2019 edition of WWE SmackDown Live went down last night in the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. Listed below are the 3 best moments from the show.

The Beast Returns

Last night’s episode of SmackDown Live kicked off with a match between The New Day and FTRKO (The Revival & Randy Orton). Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Big E came out on top of the bout but had very little time to celebrate, as shortly after the final bell rang, Brock Lesnar and his advocate, Paul Heyman, appeared on the stage.

Ever the brave champion, Kofi Kingston sent his friends away, knowing that The Beast had only come for him and his WWE Championship. After agreeing to a match for said championship to take place during the first episode of SmackDown Live on Fox, Lesnar wanted to give Kofi Kingston a preview of what awaited him in their match.

So Brock Lesnar attacked Kingston, throwing him down in an F5 before leaving the ring alongside Paul Heyman.

King Corbin’s Coronation

As Baron Corbin emerged victorious from the 2019 King of the Ring Tournament, a coronation was held in his honor last night on SmackDown Live. After placing the crown on his head and the robe over his shoulders, King Corbin welcomed the man he defeated to earn the position, Chad Gable, to join him.

Chad Gable hesitantly walked to the ring as Baron Corbin ran off short joke after short joke and eventually, Gable had enough. Gable completely destroyed both Baron Corbin and his coronation set, tackling Corbin through the throne before smashing his crown, scepter, and robe.

Possibly the best part of the whole thing was Corey Graves’ horror as he surveyed the scene, cradling a piece of the scepter in his arms.

Erick Rowan and Luke Harper Destroy SmackDown Live

To cap off a fun episode of SmackDown, Daniel Bryan made his way to the ring to address his former “friend” and protector, Erick Rowan, regarding his recent attack.

He demanded that Rowan come down and explain himself, but Rowan had already given an interview earlier in the show giving some insight into his actions, so instead of talking more, he simply assaulted Daniel Bryan.

Rowan was joined by his old tag team partner, Luke Harper, and they tore the SmackDown set, and everyone in their path, to shreds. This included the announce tables, the announcers themselves, the officials that tried to stop them, and Roman Reigns, who ran down at one point in an effort to save Daniel Bryan.
