Remember way back in February when Kevin Owens made his WWE return on SmackDown Live? Vince McMahon replaced Kofi Kingston in the WWE Championship Match at Fastlane but Kevin wasn’t fully behind the idea, refusing to turn bad guy by teaming up with Kofi to defeat Daniel Bryan and Rowan in a tag match, giving us a pretty feel-good moment given the circumstances?
Well, last night, Sami Zayn also made his return to WWE. He appeared on Raw and seemed very happy to be back at first, cheerfully issuing an open challenge which Finn Bálor answered. Perhaps Bálor is a Sami Zayn fan or maybe he was just looking to test himself, but he put his new Intercontinental Championship on the line for the occasion.
After being defeated by Bálor, things took a turn for the worse. Instead of a feel-good moment with happy-go-lucky Sami Zayn, we got bitter, ill-tempered Sami, who hates the WWE Universe and, because of that, did not miss his job in the slightest.
Sami Zayn shamed WWE fans on their overly critical, pompous behavior online, as well as declaring WWE as a whole a “super negative environment” because of the people who filled the arenas every week.
