NXT TakeOver: Dallas

Date: April 1, 2016

Main Event: Finn Bálor (c) vs. Samoa Joe for the NXT Championship

TakeOver: Dallas was made even more special by an electric crowd. Sure, all TakeOver events so far have had a hot crowd, but the energy in Dallas hasn’t been matched before or since.

Finn Bálor and Samoa Joe headlined the event, but Shinsuke Nakamura’s debut bout against Sami Zayn easily stole the show (and WrestleMania Weekend 2016).

NXT TakeOver: Chicago

Date: May 20, 2017

Main Event: The Authors of Pain (c) vs. DIY in a Ladder Match for the NXT Tag Team Championships

Most people remember the first TakeOver: Chicago show for what happened in the very last moments, but the rest of the show is worth talking about, too. Tyler Bate vs. Pete Dunne was especially memorable and went a long way in helping launch the NXT UK brand.

NXT TakeOver: WarGames II

Date: November 17, 2018

Main Event: Pete Dunne, War Raiders, and Ricochet vs. Undisputed Era in a WarGames Match

From top to bottom, WarGames II was one of the best shows of 2018. The last three matches in particular (Black/Gargano, Ciampa/Dream, and WarGames) stand out above the rest.

NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III

Date: August 19, 2017

Main Event: Bobby Roode (c) vs. Drew McIntyre for the NXT Championship

The TakeOver: Brooklyn series has been absolutely fantastic. We’ve already gotten four incredible events so far, with this particular show being the best of the bunch (so far).

NXT TakeOver: New Orleans

Date: April 7, 2018

Main Event: Tommaso Ciampa vs. Johnny Gargano in an Unsanctioned Match

From a personally standpoint, this show goes head-to-head with WrestleMania 17 for our favorite WWE pay-per-view of all time. From the opening ladder match, to the Unsanctioned Match between Ciampa and Gargano, and everything in between, TakeOver: New Orleans is an all-time classic event.
