Yesterday on Twitter, WWE caught the attention of both fans and Superstars by revealing that Gran Metalik and Rey Mysterio will go one-on-one this coming Monday on Raw.
After suffering a heartbreaking loss in a 2-out-of-3 Falls Match against Andrade, in which Andrade won the first two falls, meaning the third fall did not take place, Rey Mysterio was so distraught that he considered retiring the very next week on Raw.
Luckily, his son Dominick was there to pull him back from the brink, and convinced Mysterio to continue, if for no other reason than so they could eventually team up as father and son.
Mysterio will be returning to the ring for the first time since this devastating loss for a match against Lucha House Party’s Gran Metalik on Raw in none other than the iconic Madison Square Garden.
The multi-brand Superstar has shown an incredible amount of talent since debuting in the 2016 Cruiserweight Classic, not to mention the 11 years of experience he had before ever stepping in a WWE ring, and will no doubt put on quite a show across the ring from his fellow luchador.
