Since winning the Cruiserweight Championship in his match against Buddy Murphy at WrestleMania 35, and then defeating him again on an episode of 205 Live just a few days later, Tony Nese has been in need of some fresh competition.
Last night on 205 Live, Oney Lorcan battled Ariya Daivari for the right to challenge the new champ while Tony Nese watched closely from ringside, studying both of his potential opponents.
Ariya Daivari emerged victorious, making him the No. 1 Contender to the Cruiserweight Championship. At this time, there is no set date for the match between Daivari and Nese, but we have no doubt that these two will tear the house down, regardless of the time and place.
