Though the Bella Twins, Nikki and Brie, have yet to make an announcement in a WWE ring, last night on Total Bellas, the sisters revealed that they are retired from in-ring competition.
Nikki and Brie Bella had an amazing career spanning over a decade, breaking down barriers and laying the groundwork for the women’s revolution. This shift in the way WWE and its fans viewed the Women’s Division paved the way to this year’s WrestleMania main event. Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch will compete for the Raw Women’s Championship, marking the first Women’s match to main event a WrestleMania in WWE history.
The Bellas will presumably continue to work closely with WWE on projects such as Total Bellas and Total Divas, they will simply no longer compete in matches.
All of their hard work and dedication, not to mention the enormous, highly devoted fan base they have amassed over the years, will undoubtedly lead to an eventual induction in the WWE Hall of Fame.
12 years 💯
